Seems we’re not the only ones having an IT issue this week….geegeez had a bit of a meltdown with their server….however that’s nothing in comparison to TSB 🙂 !!

Timeform never arrived yesterday……and neither did our selection, Acclaim The Nation was not out as quickly as we thought and we’ll be keeping contact as to when he’s out next.

Today is the bet365 Classic Trials Day from Sandown and they follow that up on the Esher on Saturday with the bet 365 jump finale – nothing of interest on either day for us and we’re looking to Donny today for something.

However that is a decidedly average looking card with a C5 Div 1 & 2 pair of 7f races and  C4 5f sprint. An early interest would be whether Call Out Loud can follow up his nice opening run here on Lincoln weekend that we noted – he followed up that up with a placed effort at Thirsk last week but hardly any value at 7/2 this morning in the 14.15.

We’re going with one in the 16.25 as our selection today.

On the NH front, again it’s Day 4 from Punchestown and Timeform IS below for that one with the selections from the speedmeisters 🙂

Our members content is below….. and as ever, please drop us a line at feedback@always-back-winners.com with any questions…..we’ll be back tomorrow with hopefully a weekend winner to keep that nice little post Christmas run going.

3.40 KFM Hunters Chase 2½m

Timeform Top Rated:
121p 8. DAS MOOSER Mark Fahey Mr R. Deegan (5)
119 1. ALPHA MALE Peter Maher Mr B. O’Neill
98 4. LIGHTING TUNES Peter Maher Mr N. O’Rourke (7)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Das Mooser produced a fine display of jumping when taking this event readily a year ago so, primed for another tilt at it, she should be a tough nut to crack, with Alpha Male the only one of the others with strong enough point form to be regarded as a live danger.

4.20 EMS Copiers Novice Handicap Chase (Grade A) 2m5f

Timeform Top Rated:
161p 1. KEMBOY W. P. Mullins P. Townend
160 10. BEL AMI DE SIVOLA Noel Meade Sean Flanagan
160 4. TOMBSTONE Gordon Elliott J. W. Kennedy

Analyst’s Verdict:
Kemboy didn’t get very far in the Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse but quickly got back on the up when winning a Grade 3 at Limerick 2 weeks ago and remains on a good mark back in a handicap. Bel Ami de Sivola got off the mark over fences with a career best at Fairyhouse and is another to consider, while Tombstone was 8 lengths behind the selection at Limerick and is 8 lb better off now.

4.55 Hanlon Concrete Irish European Breeders Fund Glencarraig Lady Francis Flood Mares Handicap Chase (Grade B) 2m5f

Timeform Top Rated:
158p 11. SYNOPSIS Gordon Elliott J. W. Kennedy
156 12. THANKS FOR TEA Edmond Kent Denis O’Regan
156 6. TEACHER’S PET J. P. Dempsey L. P. Dempsey

Analyst’s Verdict:
Synopsis has posted a good second over hurdles since her successful chase debut at Thurles last month and can show herself to be on a good mark over fences. Slowmotion wasn’t at her best when last seen in the autumn but has been freshened up since and was a good second in this race last year, while the selection’s stablemate Goodthynemilan is open to improvement back chasing.

5.30 Betdaq 2% Commission Punchestown Champion Hurdle (Grade 1) 2m

Timeform Top Rated:
176 3. MELON W. P. Mullins P. Townend
170§ 8. WICKLOW BRAVE W. P. Mullins Mr P. W. Mullins
169 6. SUPASUNDAE Mrs J. Harrington Robbie Power

Analyst’s Verdict:
Melon proved himself top class in this division when only just denied in the Champion Hurdle and is preferred to leading-novice Samcro at the forecast odds. Last year’s winner Wicklow Brave is best of the others.

6.05 Profile Systems Champion Novice Hurdle (Tickell) (Grade 1) 2½m

Timeform Top Rated:
161 5. DELTA WORK Gordon Elliott Sean Flanagan
160 1. BLOW BY BLOW Gordon Elliott Rachael Blackmore
159 7. DUC DES GENIEVRES W. P. Mullins Noel Fehily

Analyst’s Verdict:
A number of these arrive on the back of busy campaigns, yet that can’t be said for Pallasator who ran his best race to date in this sphere when landing a Grade 2 contest at Fairyhouse at the beginning of the month and who may yet have more to offer in this sphere. Delta Work ran a fine race over further here on Wednesday and along with Debuchet, heads up the dangers.

6.40 Star Best For Racing Coverage Champion Hunters Chase 3m120y

Timeform Top Rated:
140+ 13. UXIZANDRE Padraig Roche Mr D. O’Connor
139+ 2. CAID DU BERLAIS Mrs Rose Loxton Mr William Biddick (3)
139 1. BALNASLOW Graham McKeever Mr P. W. Mullins

Analyst’s Verdict:
Uxizandre might not be the classy chaser he once was, but an exuberant round of jumping that saw him make a winning point debut recently is evidence enough to suggest there’s plenty of life in him yet, so he must have an outstanding chance under arguably the pick of the amateur riders. Balnaslow is considered on the back of his Aintree success, as well as Caid Du Berlais.

7.10 Salessense International Novice Hurdle 2m

Timeform Top Rated:
144p 10. SHADY OPERATOR Joseph Patrick O’Brien Barry Geraghty
143p 6. DEAL D’ESTRUVAL W. P. Mullins P. Townend
142 8. RIDERS ONTHE STORM Tom J. Taaffe A. E. Lynch

Analyst’s Verdict:
Shady Operator, a winner at Cork in November improved again despite meeting with defeat at Gowran later that month and it would come as no surprise to see him do better still arriving here as a fresh horse. Vengeful was a taking winner on his hurdles debut at Thurles in October and along with Deal D’estruval heads up the dangers.

7.45 GVA Donal O’Buachalla Property Advisors I.N.H. Flat 2¼m

Timeform Top Rated:
113 14. PRESS CONFERENCE Mrs J. Harrington Miss K. Harrington (3)
112p 6. FIRST APPROACH Noel Meade Miss N. Carberry
112 2. ALL FOR JOY Oliver McKiernan Mr A. J. Fox (7)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Press Conference beat the rest comfortably when bumping into a useful sort on February’s bumper debut, and this point winner could be the answer. The Willie-Mullins pair Southern Nights and Dorrells Pierji are capable of better and head the opposition.
