It seems the vast majority of you are aboard with the new format – we sent a tester email notification of ‘post published’ yesterday that contained a lot of gobbledygook and code – today’s should be tidied up and just provide you a simple snippet linking you to the blog post – again many thanks for your feedback and continued support as we get up and running.
The next step is to link post notifications to ‘auto post’ on twitter and Facebook so that we cover all angles to give you advanced warning when we publish. However, there’s still no problem with just going to the website on a daily basis and purely looking at the ‘Daily Selections’ post.
Back to Today….
Back to racing issues and finally we can get up and running for the week with a couple of meetings at Warwick & Wincanton to consider – speed ratings are below for the former meet and we have two selections going today. Check those out below……
As ever, please drop us a line at feedback@always-back-winners.com with any questions if still unclear.

2.10 Daily Racing Specials At 188Bet Maiden Hurdle (4) 2m5f
Timeform Top Rated:
141p 9. TOSSAPENNY Evan Williams Adam Wedge
132 7. OCEAN COVE Fergal O’Brien Paddy Brennan
131 3. FAWSLEY SPIRIT Ben Pauling Daryl Jacob
Analyst’s Verdict:
Tossapenny has shown plenty and was edged out by a subsequent winner at Hereford last time. This looks a good opportunity. Blue Flight and Fawsley Spirit both look up to winning races also and could be the dangers here.
2.40 Best Odds Guaranteed At 188Bet Novices’ Hurdle (4) 2m
Timeform Top Rated:
137 2. HAREFIELD Alan King Wayne Hutchinson
136 1. WHATMORE Henry Daly Richard Johnson
133 7. FIELDS OF FORTUNE Alan King Tom Cannon
Analyst’s Verdict:
Harefield produced another pleasing effort without being given a hard time when runner-up at Towcester, and he looks sure to go well again back at the scene of his November win. Whatmore, Fields of Fortune and Captain Jack all merit consideration.
3.15 188Bet Stephen Allday Perpetual Plate Chase (Novices’ Limited Handicap) (4) 3m
Timeform Top Rated:
138p 2. MILITARIAN Andrew Martin Mr James Martin (7)
136 1. RED INFANTRY Ian Williams Robert Dunne
134 5. CADEAU DU BRESIL Grant Cann Tom O’Brien
Analyst’s Verdict:
Militarian has the pedigree and physique to make a better chaser and he pushed a useful winner all the way when runner-up on his chase bow at Market Rasen on belated return last month. He looks on a fair opening mark based on that effort and can go one better. In-form Red Infantry is another to consider along with the low-mileage Oneida Tribe.
3.50 Follow 188Bet On Twitter Handicap Hurdle (4) 3¼m
Timeform Top Rated:
122§ 3. ALBERT D’OLIVATE Neil Mulholland Robert Dunne
119 1. BANCO DE LOGOS Seamus Mullins Kevin Jones (5)
117+ 2. FRESH NEW DAWN Olly Murphy Richard Johnson
Analyst’s Verdict:
Fresh New Dawn now looks ready for this sort of trip (bred to stay well but looked a non-stayer over 3m early in his career) and representing a stable in terrific form, he could be the way to go. Banco de Logos has made a positive start for his new yard, while it will be interesting to see what Neil Mulholland can do with Albert d’Olivate.
4.25 Read Noel Fehily At 188Bet Handicap Chase (4) 3m5f54y
Timeform Top Rated:
116+ 1. ALBERTO’S DREAM Tom Lacey Mr Tommie M. O’Brien (5)
114§ 4. THE LAST BRIDGE Susan Johnson Richard Johnson
113 2. SUNNY LEDGEND Andrew Martin Mr James Martin (7)
Analyst’s Verdict:
Alberto’s Dream is thriving at the moment, completing the hat-trick with ease at Huntingdon 2 weeks ago, and can score again despite another big hike. Last year’s winner The Last Bridge arrives in good form and is the obvious threat.
4.55 Play Slots At 188Bet Casino Handicap Hurdle (4) 2m5f
Timeform Top Rated:
131p 2. MAHLERVOUS Warren Greatrex Richard Johnson
130 3. NOW MCGINTY Stuart Edmunds Tom O’Brien
129 7. CELESTIAL MAGIC Richard Phillips Daniel Hiskett (5)
Analyst’s Verdict:
A competitive finale. Mahlervous suffered an unfortunate unseat on his handicap debut but the fact he went off favourite suggests connections’ think he’s on a fair mark and this longer trip promises to suit him well. Now McGinty will be a major threat if the cheekpieces continue to have the desired effect, while Aliandy can also figure if shrugging off a lesser run last time.
A Nice 6/1 BOOOOM today guys!!!!!
