It seems the vast majority of you are aboard with the new format – we sent a tester email notification of  ‘post published’ yesterday that contained a lot of gobbledygook and code – today’s should be tidied up and just provide you a simple snippet linking you to the blog post – again many thanks for your feedback and continued support as we get up and running.

The next step is to link post notifications to ‘auto post’ on twitter and Facebook so that we cover all angles to give you advanced warning when we publish. However, there’s still no problem with just going to the website on a daily basis and purely looking at the ‘Daily Selections’ post.

Harefield produced another pleasing effort without being given a hard time when runner-up at Towcester, and he looks sure to go well again back at the scene of his November win. Whatmore, Fields of Fortune and Captain Jack all merit consideration.

Militarian has the pedigree and physique to make a better chaser and he pushed a useful winner all the way when runner-up on his chase bow at Market Rasen on belated return last month. He looks on a fair opening mark based on that effort and can go one better. In-form Red Infantry is another to consider along with the low-mileage Oneida Tribe.

Banco de Logos has made a positive start for his new yard, while it will be interesting to see what Neil Mulholland can do with Albert d’Olivate.

Now McGinty will be a major threat if the cheekpieces continue to have the desired effect, while Aliandy can also figure if shrugging off a lesser run last time.
