Trainers Quotes

Friday – 15th June 2018

With nothing out yesterday for members there’s just a note from the intro notes where La Menage Enchante was a slowly away at Nottingham yesterday but finished well in touch – he should be of interest in the coming races an we’ll watch for future entries when there is a bit more cut.

Today sees meets from York, Goodwood, Sandown & Chepstow – the former sees Local handler Eric Alston get Maid In India (16.40) ahead of possible run at Ascot next week in the Wokingham Stakes. We’ve followed her progress albeit the two short priced winners haven’t been for us and if you fancy her chances in that you can get up from 33- 50’s!

We’re finishing the week as we started………with 3 selections – one  at York who members backed for a place earlier this term…..one from a previous winners trainer and one from the evening meet at Goodwood to wrap things up.

Timeform is for the Sandown meet and we’ll be back in the morning around 10.00am.

2.00 Daily World Cup Specials At 188Bet EBF Novice Stakes (5) 5f10y

Timeform Top Rated:
86p 5. OBERYN MARTELL Eve Johnson Houghton Charles Bishop
84p 3. GOOD LUCK FOX Richard Hannon Sean Levey
79p 2. DON ARMADO Stuart Williams P. J. McDonald

Analyst’s Verdict:
The fact Dark Shadow was prominent in the betting in a decent race at Ascot on debut suggests he’s well regarded and it would be no surprise were he to leave that bare form well behind now. Doncaster runner-up Oberyn Martell rates an obvious danger, while market support for the Roger Varian newcomer Thriving would also see her enter the reckoning.

2.35 Download The App At 188Bet EBF Maiden Stakes (5) 7f

Timeform Top Rated:
93p 5. EAGLE HUNTER Hugo Palmer Ryan Moore
89p 8. JULIUS LIMBANI Archie Watson Hollie Doyle
85p 7. HAPPY POWER Andrew Balding Jim Crowley

Analyst’s Verdict:
Eagle Hunter created a good impression on debut at Doncaster 2 weeks ago, and is the one they all have to beat. There are a number of interesting ones in opposition however, including Julius Limbani and newcomer Sky Cross.

3.10 Gate-A-Mation Handicap (5) 7f

Timeform Top Rated:
94 1. CHARACTER WITNESS Roger Varian Jack Mitchell
90 7. DEADLY ACCURATE Hughie Morrison Robert Winston
88 8. GLOBAL PASSION Charles Hills Gerald Mosse

Analyst’s Verdict:
Character Witness caught the eye when third at Kempton last week and looks more than capable of winning off this mark. Warsaan is respected as a last-time-out winner, while Brigand can’t have been right when last seen in December and rates a potential improver now handicapping for his leading stable.

3.45 George Lindon-Travers Memorial Handicap (3) 1m1f209y

Timeform Top Rated:
107 1. ACLIMATISE Mark Johnston Ryan Moore
106 3. EMENEM Simon Dow Hollie Doyle
106 8. JUMPING JACK Chris Gordon Nicky Mackay

Analyst’s Verdict:
Aclimatise is the only one in this field with a progressive profile and, despite a 6 lb penalty for his Newmarket success last week, it’s hard to see any of the others really troubling him once he hits top stride (finds plenty). Turnpike Trip is one that could get back on the up with his reappearance under his belt and it’s too soon to write off Pivoine.

4.20 188Bet Casino British Stallions EBF Fillies’ Handicap (4) 1m

Timeform Top Rated:
99p 1. PREENING James Fanshawe Ryan Moore
97 4. ZORAYA Paul Cole Raul Da Silva
97 7. DAYBREAK Hughie Morrison William Buick

Analyst’s Verdict:
Preening had little chance with a smart prospect at Thirsk last month, but she enhanced her reputation in defeat given she was well clear of the rest and the assessor looks to have underestimated her. Daybreak left her 2-y-o form behind at Goodwood recently and is feared most, though Autumn Leaves boasts potential.

4.50 Beck Handicap (4) 1m1f209y

Timeform Top Rated:
97p 10. KABRIT Andrew Balding Martin Dwyer
96p 6. SOLDIERS BAY Brian Meehan Ryan Moore
94p 2. BERINGER Alan King Martin Harley

Analyst’s Verdict:
Kabrit gets his mark on the bare form of his qualifying runs, but he contested a couple of high-end maidens at Newbury this spring and showed plenty to work on, so he looks ready to take a big step forward. Stamina is Hyanna’s strength and she should have more to offer for her new yard, with Leicester winner Beringer also feared.

5.25 Portugal V Spain Betting At 188Bet Handicap (5) 1¾m

Timeform Top Rated:
86 2. EYECATCHER Simon Crisford Ryan Moore
85p 3. DAGUENEAU Ed Dunlop William Buick
83? 8. MASTERS APPRENTICE Sylvester Kirk Martin Dwyer

Analyst’s Verdict:
Eyecatcher only found another improver too good at Haydock last time, all the while shaping as if a step up to this trip would bring even more out of him, so he’s a confident choice to get off the mark at the expense of last-time-out winner Dagueneau, with Kittileo the pick of the remainder.

WOWSER!!!!!

The guys from Cleeve have really hit the ground running in May with OVER 67PTS PROFIT as we take a step forward and one back !!!!

Like we said previous…….they target higher end c2+ than ourselves and have got off to a cracking start to the season. Have a look around their site linked below with a past results visible.

Our selections shouldn’t clash due to the nature of races we tend to get involved with and should be a nice complimentary and personal service from Nick & the guys to run alongside our own this summer.
