There’s a pre-meet at Newcastle this evening prior to Northumberland Plate Day tomorrow with a couple of trackers out up there.

The (18.35) sees Tim Easterby’s pair, Copper Knight and Eeh Bah Gum renew rivalry – the former has already picked up a race this term and won his last year, albeit is up 12 for his subsequent improvement. The latter ran well in the dash but tonight gets a poor draw on the rails and would be a big ask from there.

Later on (19.40) Elixisoft is on at wipes yer face odds, Roger Fell’s filly has a good place record of late. Lightly raced through 2018 has really been a consistent sort this term on the AW, he ran 2nd LTO first time at 10f and rates wipes yer face 11/2.

Another wipes yer face tracker goes at Chester (20.05) with Queens Sargent – despite being well drawn is a bit up and down at the moment. LTO ran a grade up at Goodwood for 4th  but disappointed here LTO from a similar nice low draw and his best form seems to be on more galloping tracks rather than ones like Chester. Fahey has won this the last twice and both winners renew tonight with Gabrial The Tiger looking the one to be on with Penwortham drawn out in 14?
