A nice advised 12/1 winner yesterday with HAROME skating in ahead of previous winner Acclaim The Nation at Haydock yesterday way a welcome boost, whilst De Sousa did his usual ride from the front on Gurkha Friend in an excellent battle with Frank Bridge mentioned in the intro notes.
Back to today…..we’ve been a bit short on Dalgleish runners this term and he has his Kensington Star out at Carlisle 15.30 in a race they’re trying to win back to back with the same charge – there’s just about wipes yer face best 4/1 available this morning with Dominating a bigger EW punt taking a significant drop in class following his distance defeat behind Le Grand Visir in a C2 at Haydock LTO.

5.55 Nottingham Label Company Apprentice Handicap (5) 1m1f197y
Timeform Top Rated
87 3. ROBINSON CRUSOE Richard Hannon Gary Mahon
85 8. LIVINGSTONES QUEST Rod Millman Cameron Noble
84 5. DANZAY Mark Johnston Andrew Breslin (3)
Analyst’s Verdict:
It’s worth giving another chance to Robinson Crusoe, who had found improvement on his return at Nottingham and could never get involved from a poor draw last time. Unbridled Spirit and Danzay are others to consider.
6.30 Bespoke Properties Handicap (5) 6f
Timeform Top Rated
90 9. EMJAYEM Patrick Chamings Joey Haynes
88 3. MET BY MOONLIGHT Ron Hodges Kieran O’Neill
86 2. OEIL DE TIGRE Tony Carroll Sophie Ralston (7)
Analyst’s Verdict:
Oeil de Tigre is in fine heart at present and returned to winning ways under this pilot over C&D last time. Still fairly treated, he may be able to follow up. Met By Moonlight and Incentive are other key players.
7.05 Bespoke Property Consultants Handicap (3) 1¾m
Timeform Top Rated
110p 9. SKY EAGLE Ed Walker Pat Cosgrave
109 7. ARAB MOON William Knight Silvestre De Sousa
108 5. ARTHUR MC BRIDE Nigel Twiston-Davies Liam Keniry
Analyst’s Verdict:
Sky Eagle is improving all the time and ran a cracker when making the frame in a big-field handicap at the Dante meeting last month. He promises to be suited by this longer trip and makes plenty of appeal. Chester-second Humble Hero is feared most with Shraaoh next best.
7.40 Coates & Seely Fillies’ Handicap (3) 1m3f44y
Timeform Top Rated
104 4. GIFT OF HERA Sylvester Kirk Luke Morris
100 2. PRETTY JEWEL Ian Williams Jim Crowley
93+ 3. ARCADIAN CAT Ralph Beckett Harry Bentley
Analyst’s Verdict:
Gift of Hera upped her game considerably when getting off the mark in bloodless fashion at Wolverhampton last time and is fancied to follow up. Pretty Jewel also took her form to a new level when scoring here a week ago and is the obvious danger.
8.15 Netbet.Co.Uk Fillies’ Handicap (5) 6f
Timeform Top Rated
84 7. ELLEN GATES Richard Hughes Finley Marsh (5)
83 5. POPSICLE Richard Hannon Sean Levey
82 11. RIVER RULE Tony Carroll Kieran O’Neill
Analyst’s Verdict:
This can go to Silca Mistress, who was having only her second start for Clive Cox when scoring at Leicester last time and remains on a workable mark. The consistent Ellen Gates looks sure to go well again, whilst Popsicle is also respected.
8.50 Example Maiden Stakes (5) 1m3f44y
Timeform Top Rated
87p 5. GREAT BEYOND Roger Charlton Kieran Shoemark
85p 9. SUPERNOVA David Simcock Jamie Spencer
83p 3. CRYSTAL KING Sir Michael Stoute Pat Dobbs
Analyst’s Verdict:
Great Beyond still showed signs of inexperience when an encouraging fourth on his reappearance at Thirsk last month and remains open to improvement. He gets the nod in the finale. Crystal King and Supernova are others to consider.
