Global Spirit wins….advised @ 16/1

A nice 16/1 winner yesterday with Roger Fell’s GLOBAL SPIRIT doing the business that put us briefly through the £4k on the challenge. Ben Curtis had him held held up for a long way before producing hin in the last furlong for what looked a comfortable win.

However, a disappointing run from our evening AW charge who didn’t make any use of a prime draw at Kempton and we are yest to get off the mark on the sandbagging quest 🙂

Nonetheless, it’s profit in October and now over the 150pts profit mark to 1pt EW since we got back into it in June. Challenge betters have added nearly £3k to there pots 🙂

For those on the £1k to £10k Annual challenge, its currently over a 43% win/place rate and our bank is £3987.10 with an ROI of over 49% and current stakes £49.84 EW

Today’s Selections

York 16.50

A few trackers out in this one with True Blue Moon prominent who did it for us a double digit odds LTO. We’ll keep that money banked with just wipes yer face about him this morning and having to prove himself on going as soft as this.

Proud Archi was one carried over from last year but some nearly runs have seen him creep back up the weights  and Parys Mountain is another who likes it with some soft in the title. Jason Hart came in for a niced priced Easterby winner with 2nd string El Arayg at Redcar last weekend and gets a decent EW squeak here with David Allan opting for TBM.

However, I’m looking at Roger Fell’s charge GLOBAL SPIRIT in this one who was one who didn’t go a non-runner at Redcar in that race last week, despite the ablutions. He was never put into the race and a cantering performance over the 8f.

He usually reacts well when back out quickly and was in good form early season when behind our winner Garden Oasis and prior had won at Haydock  On penultimate run was back out at Haydock again over this 7f and met with a lot of trouble early doors that relegated him, though was only 2l down in 6th at the death.

That was his 3rd consistent run on the spin and ignoring that no show should still continue to be thereabouts off this mark looking to hold Parys Mountain on a 3rd at Catterick this time  last year.

He looks to have a decent draw up the stands side an there’s plenty of 5 paying slots this morning and 16’s available.

York 16.50 – Global Spirit (half stakes challenge – if N/R – Parys Mountain)

Kempton 19.15

A wipes yer face price only but David Loughnane’s yard have hit the ground running on the AW.

BUY ME BACK has a 1 win /5 places in just 6 outings on the AW and a ready winner back in March. Following that had a small break and back out on her new rating was 3l adrift of a more experienced and well handicapped Burmese Waltz on debut run for Archie Watson in a C3.

She ended the AW campaign with a 2nd slot at Lingfield over the minimum trip and now, just 4 above that last winning mark, looks well drawn tonight on the rail to get a soft lead under Edward Greatrix.

He’s bob on form as well and it’s a wipes yer face best 5/1 and regulation 3 slots to record for a half stakes play in this one.

Kempton 19.15 – Buy Me Back (half stakes challenge)
