Horse Racing Selections – 15th January 2022

Meetings from Lingfield and Chelmsford on the all-weather for Saturday.

At the former, (12.05), Colin Tizzard’s Star of Valour was backed in October just out of the paying slots. Has run decent RPR’s around the money places last two races and is a lumping priced 3/1 to score today. However, needs to find another 6lb on his best AW win rated 61 and looks opposable. Not much between the Ton Carroll runners in that one who both have each way chances?

There’s a single selection today in the race following that one 🙂

No joy again yesterday, called the 1-2 with Coolagh Magic and tracker Big Time Maybe with ours back in 5th 🙁

  1. These are difficult times atm. It must be hard when The amazing Hugh Taylor and free hitter Peter have losing days (especially when two of the sharpest minds tip the same horse). It is still about having faith in the selection process. We are getting stretched by the bad run and i am sure people are thinking when is it all going to get better ( me included). I will give it till end of May before i make a decision. I will throw my hat into the tipping ring. Back Fleetwood at 11/2 and the draw at 17/5 to make a profit today. Keep the faith and up the millers and clarets

    • Tough times indeed Ian. Appreciate everyone’s patience and hopefully a membership left by May 🤨

I am on your footy bet with the Clarets poorly 😀

    • Take a bow young man and no I did not back your tip, but very well done indeed.

  2. I don’t know what stakes others use but I’ve had to reduce mine to £2 win only in an attempt to save money and hopefully be around to see if things turn around soon. Usually I would bet £10 a point to the stakes advised so I would be 4 points down each month for subs which is fine. If my usual stake is too low then this certainly isn’t for me. If things haven’t turned round by the end of March then that will be the end for me I’m afraid as I would have given it 12 months and not shown any profit.

  3. My yearly subs began in June. Unfortunately the magic did not happen. I saw some big winners and it is definitely possible that 2022 will be awesome but I am not sure I have curiousness to find out.

  4. I think that is fair comment Chris. You have given it a good try. Not sure what the profit and loss is from March to now but over the last 12 months we are slightly up ( no mean effort that). Just when you think things can only get better we have the very straight trainer training one of ours !!. One thing i can tell you though. Haynes is a job jockey and a lot of gambles have come to fruition when he has been on board. Could this be the day ?

    • I believe that since the start of April it’s roughly -4.85 to advised which I guess will vary slightly depending on which firms and places are available. If we say £10 a point and 10 months of subs that’s just under £500 down or roughly 50 points down. We’ve had 4 winners since the start of October from 100 bets that is the reason it’s not working, nothing to do with grabbing the odd place here and there. This sort of strike rate gives expected losing streaks of 70 which I think is totally unsustainable.

  5. I would imagine I’m only talking to the Die hard’s. I assume the monthly ones would of left by now,

I’m thinking of upping my stakes, not reducing. This record loosing streak has hit me hard, and it can’t go on.✌
2 quick 18/1+ winners almost wipes that debt out. With 60/1-33/1-25/1-20/1 winners in the past. It’s achievable.
I certainly won’t get it back by reducing my stake.

    • hi I’m monthly and still here I reviewed the service before joining I put a 100 point bank in place going back to the flat the amount of seconds we’re incredible remember these have been in profit each year I’m changing to yearly payments very soon cheers guys

      • Thanks for the confidence boost Derek. Yes the 2nds through the summer were incredible and I said at the tine they would more than likeky bite me on the proverbial. PM me before you rejoin.

        Gary

  6. Indeed, up your stakes. Reducing them now will never get you back in profit. If this is a long term winning thing then reversion to the mean will happen.

  7. On the other hand maybe buddy has just lost his mojo altogether
