Horse Racing Selections – 16th April 2022

Saturday racing on the turf from Musselburgh, Nottingham and Newbury.

At the latter, the Spring Cup (15.35) is the feature. Usually a few come out of this one dropping a grade or so. The sole tracker going is our Donny fancy Rogue Bear. Tom Clover’s charge is on at less than wipes yer face 7/2 and for lumpers only.  Ran well enough at Donny and in two 8f handicaps last year to give confidence. However, that price not for us, will look elsewhere.

At Nottingham the only handicap of note is the apprentices (17.07). Eric Alston has had an indifferent start to the season and one we’d normally expect a run out of would be Boudica Bay. Didn’t beat may home LTO and the yard are yet to fire.

There’s one from Musselburgh for some Saturday interest. Will post tomorrow, albeit Redcar Monday looks like some decent handicaps on offer.
