Horse Racing Selections – 16th December 2019
A sole meeting at Wolves and in all essence only a couple of races to consider.
The class 5 (17.10) looks one for the lumpers that sees Bahuta Acha goes for David Loughnane. He has P J McDonald under him which isn’t a bad thing as he operates at a near 20% win strike rate on trips up to 7f here. The charge has held form well at this track since coming off the turf ina race at Windsor that threw up plenty of winners. His last two races have seen him go close but come up short against well-backed favourites who had dropped to decent marks. From trap 5, and likely to race prominently alongside the stables other runner, Hic Bibi, shouldn’t be far away?
Lastly (19.40), ‘The Bishop’ is up top of Freedom And Wheat who won off 59 last term before rising to 65. Not prolific, he is back down to that mark and ran well from a poor draw LTO. It’s first run for Micheal Blake and being stepped up in trip we will note the performance.
