Horse Racing Selections – 16th October 2019

….no joy yesterday, Popping Corks was just one out of the places and the gamble on Ghalib not materialising……having mentioned Danny Tudhope right from the outset of the meet, he duly landed both on the favourites in the we races we were focussing on 🙁 – for those following him, he certainly is the form jock at the moment and having a day off today!

Bath 13.40

Tony Carroll has a great record at the track and sends a sole runner down in DOC SPORTELLO.

The charge has a near 50% place record in C4’s over the last couple of seasons and this looks a significant drop.

He has been consistent this season at a higher level than this with winning form on the AW and soft/heavy.

He only just failed at Sandown LTO and although he’s significantly better on the AW, from this reduced mark and down a grade on that run.

With top course jock, Tom Marquand in the plate, hopefully, shouldn’t be far away and on at a best  6/1 with Betfair and the regulation 3 slots.

Hopefully a day of ‘Two Carrolls’ as we side with Declan Carroll’s MUSIC SEEKER at nice double-digit odds.

He hit the target here in May and again at York a month later remaining in decent nick since.

There’ some short priced ones in here pushing the prices out in the lower market and despite being handicapped to near his max should hold the shorter priced Sputnik Platinum on previous.

His last race 3rd here LTO has seen the form franked and he shouldn’t be far away again with a repeat effort and Zak Wheatley up top who has given us decent returns this term.

The 9f Cambridgeshire was probably a bit short and with the best form at 10f and from a decent high draw that looks to be a requisite looks excellent EW value with 14’s and THREE paying slots with bet365.
