Horse Racing Selections – 18th September 2021

Saturday is Ayr Gold Cup day and the culmination of 3 days of racing.

Outside of that there is a very poorly attended meet at Catterick with Newbury, HQ and Wolves to back that up.

Last year, had a blinder backing the winner and 4th home in the Silver Cup and would settle for a repeat performance of that. We’ll adopt the same approach today in this race 🙂

Nothing to write home about yesterday and dipped us back negative on the challenge again 🙁

Back in the morning just before 9.00 am

For those on the new 2021/22 £1k to £10k Annual Challenge, the bank is £954.53 and current full stakes, unless advised, £12.08 EW

The 2021 Turf bank currently stands at +35.26 pts to 1pt EW stakes with over a 37% win/place rate.

The 2020/21 All Weather bank ended at +144 pts to 1pt EW stakes with over a 39% win/place rate.

  1. Race is ITV 4/1 promo on Bet365 if any one fancies a 5 place and stab at a free bet on the Newmarket 2.50

  2. Yesterday Chris-8 asked ‘did something happen to Ventura Express’. Peter, gave the fact that Ventura was better at 5f than 6f and he had a record of 0 wins from around 11 runs. That is true but doesn’t tell the whole story as stats very rarely do. Venturas best RPR was actually his run at Ripon over 6f where he finished second in a class 2 . His two wins came in 5f races in class 3 and 5. His last win was off 74 and his two wins have been in April and June. Yesterday he ran in a class 2 off 82. He needed to improve on his Ripon run to get in the first six imo. He wasn’t capable of doing that. No way should he have finished 21st but he was up against imo.

I have taken the role of captain Hindsight there and been wise after the event. I have halved the amount i put on since the Leger meeting as i do not like this time of year. Gary will find winners between now and November but i am happy to play cautiously. Gary in a class 2 again (nosebleed) and trying to repeat last years effort. Good luck everybody.

  3. Nice Win – just the stakes the wrong way around haha. Well done Gary!!

  4. BOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. Wow 34.0 Winner and a 4 th Place, brilliant Gary 🙂

  8. many congratulations Gary!

  9. fuck, forgot to place half of the intended stake. At least I got 40.0 winning odds and 6.6 place odds

  10. Thanks Guys 👦

  11. Never doubted you Gary 🤩

  12. You couldn’t bloody write it…

Oh wait. You did. 1st and 4th as predicted 😉 brilliant.

  13. exactly repeated the feat of last year…amazing….well done!

  14. Well done Gary

  15. I did not know there we were that many bed wetters

  16. Great day Gary, well done buddy

  17. Well done Gary 👏

  18. Well done Gary. I said you would get some winners before November and even with half stakes a 25/1 winner is a great call at anytime of the season. You certainly know your mooses, even when running in class two’s

  19. 25/1 winner and the millers winning at highflying (were)Bolton. Does that make me a bed wetter. Still not got my head around what one is Peter. Leeds looked ordinary last night against the magpies.
