  1. Hopefully the turn of the month holds a change in fortune for us all. In my portfolio, nothing (bettingwise) at all turned profit in the last twelve months so fingers crossed this is our year.

    BOL today Gary

  2. In the last twelve months ABW is in profit on my figures Chris-8 so i assume you joined after April 2021. Snowy is over 160 pts up since October (need to get on early), he is on a poor run but i have faith in him getting back to what he was doing from Oct-Feb. Sam Coley (free golf) is well up but has had a poor four weeks. Postracing is a steady Eddie and ticks over with profits most months. My own selections have been doing ok so my portfolio is keeping me in profits, not big but moving in the right direction…. as i have said many times you have to have faith in the selection process of what you are using. ABW has to deliver on the early part of the flat for me to keep the faith. If past years are to go by Gary will bring in the profits on flat grass racing. That is why i am keeping it in the portfolio but have dropped him whilst he tips on the cat litter. This is a results based business and my advice Chris would be to drop most of your portfolio if none of them have made a profit in the last twelve months. Twelve months is a fair sample imo. There are many better judges on here than me so i would be interested to hear their advice. Off to Wembley this weekend to watch the mighty millers.

    • UTM Have a great day out 😀

    • Hi Ian, I joined in Feb 2021, made about £100 and then reset the bank for the new season challenge, included in my total figures (14 months) – membership fees aside, ABW is on for a total loss of -22pts with fees -44pts.

Snowy, has fared average whilst I have been a member. Snowy since end Oct-21 has a balance of 14pts with fees inc -5.9pts (I must add also Surewin are cack at keeping records. After a quick results check, they’ve been over egging their place results (misplaced formula) since May 2021 which means, they have been recording place profits as Winners. I don’t have much patience for shit data. (hopefully after the back and forth, they correct it this month)

Finally the other system which is Inform Racing following the 2 challenges presented there -95pts again inc fees -120pts

Is it fair to say Ian, you don’t follow the 10k staking plan, I think you’ve said before you stopped on the AW bets (and above), but you can see from in Garys post above taking both the turf and AW there is a net loss for the year of about 50pts.

I was having a look through Honest Betting Reviews last week to see how others in the market are performing and I was surprised by the amount who wasn’t delivering on the goods!

I also would be interested to hear if anyone else has anything to offer up regarding portfolios; I’m new to this game, but honestly come in not expecting to lose 2k, genuinely expected to break even as a minimum.

I’ve just auto renewed my ABW today, so fingers crossed as I said above, this is our year!

      Good luck at Wembley pal!

      • Couple of further points – I do agree with you Ian that Snowy is actually doing well relative with points (just combed back through my pts records +100), however, I did a test stake at £1/point in Oct, upped to £2/£3 then £5 per point through the months – so have clearly lost at the top end! Maybe unlucky

Second one was, interestingly the Inform Systems have generated 50k 5 times systematically since 2018; therefore that suggests something drastically changing within the racing ecosystem maybe? Not quite sure what it is, I guess it could be anything such as quality of runners, covid, handicapping etc

      • Racing to profit worth checking out

  3. Racing to profit good site to check out for anybody interested he actually put me onto ABW a few months before the poor run started.
