Does anybody have a constructive opinion of our Jockey Miss Croot today? I have one however its not even close to constructive…. i watched 14 of her rides & have to say she needs to be claiming 30lbs never mind 7.

I will give my humble opinion about Elle May Croot Terry but as i have said many times i know very little about this game. You need somebody like Peter Higgins or Nick Mazur to comment as they are the experts on here……………..Elle May is a 7Lb claimer who has ridden one winner this season (probably only winner in her career). It was on Chipiron which she rode into third yesterday. She is clearly learning her trade and looks like she needs to tidy up her style of riding a bit. This will come as she gets more experience. I very rarely knock jockeys as you know who is riding your horse before the race. Split second decisions have to be made and it is no easy job imo. Furtado puts her up and he knows the time of day. She is riding poor horses (moose) and they are not the easiest of rides. I am currently reading Dettoris book and he got the stable jockeys job with Cumani at eighteen. Very few jockeys have that sort of talent and have to work hard and pick up the odd ride here and there. Elle May might not make a top jockey but with experience she can only improve.
