Horse Racing Selections – 20th August 2021

Friday’s racing comes from York, Musselburgh and Salisbury.

A decent winner yesterday with BOUNTY PURSUIT winning at Chepstow. Just got up to beat the P D Evans charge, Right Action, who looks to be getting back on track after leaving Richard Fahey. Not sure there will ever be much of a price about him NTO, but knew how to win in his early years and is now n20 or so below that. Let’s look to build on that in the near future.

Back to today. There’s a competitive 7f race north of the border (16.00) that feature a good number of trackers that seem difficult to split. JPS is not my favourite pilot but gets a bunk up on Danzam who is overdue a success with the Easterby yard. Another of theirs, Afandem goes in the (15.25), but despite us backing him a couple of times earlier this term for some shrapnel seems to have gone of the boil.

We’ll head to the Ebor for a sole selection today. Notes are below and back in the morning around 09.00 am.

For those on the new 2021/22 £1k to £10k Annual Challenge, the bank is £1057.09 and current full stakes, unless advised, £13.29 EW

The 2021 Turf bank currently stands at +41.6 pts to 1pt EW stakes with over a 36% win/place rate.

The 2020/21 All Weather bank ended at +144 pts to 1pt EW stakes with over a 39% win/place rate.
