Day 2 from Royal Ascot with meetings from Ripon and Hamilton for the lesser charges.

Good luck anyone punting in the Royal Hunt Cup (17.00). We don’t get may trackers popping up in Class 2 🙂 Thirty to post and a cursory look has a sole tracker in Bill Knights Dual Identity.

The bottom weight was noted after a cracking run in the Cambridgeshire from the ‘wrong’ side of the track. That was after a year of steady improvement scaling the handicap by 20lb or so and maybe at his upper ceiling for now. However is drawn by one of the rails that always seems best on the straight mile depending on the split side and may eke out a shrapnel paying place.

The only other race of note there would be the Kensington Palace Fillies’ Handicap (15.05). Run on the round, Lady Eros is again a sole tracker going. Looks progressive and quickly back into winning ways at Yarmouth over this trip. Both those races have 6 paying places on offer from at least bet365 for some shrapnel if you fancy a minor nibble.

Back to our courses & class 🙂 – Hamilton struggling to muster up the numbers so we’ll take one at Ripon this evening as our sole selection of the day.

A decent day at the office yesterday with Lotus Rose doing it for the second consecutive year at a big price. Backed up with a couple of placed efforts was a nearly day for Chris’s treble 🙁
