Racing from Pontefract and the ‘season finale’ day of their 2019 season.
Feature is a 2yo Listed Race where the 2yos run in the EBF Silver Tankard Stakes.
On top of that, there’s a decent 10 furlong C4 (15.20) and the (17.20) 5f sprint with trackers such as; Our Little Pony, Penny Pot Lane & Sheepscar Lad all going.
At Windsor, Richard Fahey takes another 3yo tracker down for a crack at the (16.00), Defence Treaty is around 10 above last winning mark and maybe of for some very small shrapnel under J P Spencer. However , the paring look for solid in the following race (16.30) with Kingson on around wipes yer face value with most outfits but .

….pity Waarif couldn’t give us another Waldgeist moment but the place portion left us even on the day 🙂
Ponty 15.20 We backed GLASSES UP for a place LTO at Musselburgh and Michael Smith’s charge has run solidly on last couple of runs over this trip and going. He’s back around the mark where he ran up three quick wins last term that saw his rating peak at 84. The gelding handles the soft ground and ran a cracker at Ayr on penultimate run when chasing home useful Addis Ababa and wasn’t far away LTO when 3rd over a mile, that he was making ground on Greek hero well at the finish. Back at 10f, he looks for the first win outside Scotland, however, he did run 3rd here 3 runs back and was only 1l adrift of the winner, Aiya. Paul Mulrennan is in the plate and there’s an extra paying slot with a few companies this morning, so we will take the bet 15/2 with Betfair and FOUR paying places.
Ponty 15.20 – Glasses Up
Ponty 17.20 Previous winner and a good servant to us, OUR LITTLE PONY was a winner over this trip at Thirsk in August for us and should relish the soft ground again. She went up a few after that win but runs out of class and 6 & 7f trip have seen her eased a tad to 5lb above last winning mark. However, both the two market leaders have also to try and win from the same, so looks to have a great each-way chance in this final day sprint. She’s adept at 6f so the stiff Ponty finish should have no fears and as a hold up can’t see her getting boxed in with pacesetters on either side of the track. Holding a mega stat of 85% place rate over the last two seasons at this trip, with regular pilot Faye McManoman up top, we’d expect Lawrence Mullaney’s charge to give us a decent EW run for the money. There’s a best 12/1 with bet 365 and the regulation 3 slots this morning with as low as 8’s with Coral. Ponty 17.20 – Our Little Pony
