Horse Racing Selections – 22nd August 2019

Day 2 of the Ebor and a couple of C2’s on the Knavesmire of note including last weeks winner, Our Little Pony back out quickly (16.50). Lawrence Mullaney steps her up in trip and with the going drying doesn’t look the obvious choice to follow up. However she gets a decent low draw and with the pace looking to come from middle/low she could well stay on into one of those 5 paying slots? Nevertheless, and we’ll keep those winnings in the pocket and maybe throw some small shrapnel at her for a place 🙂

The other race is the 8f  (15.00) that features one of our favourites, but ‘nearly’ horses in Kynren – if ever one deserved a win in this class it’s the Bishop Auckland owned charge who should be on the premises yet again.

The feature is the Yorkshire Oaks (15.35) with the best horse in training, Enable taking on Magical in a 4 runner and nothing to get excited about there excepting the appearance!

Elsewhere, there’s meets at Chepstow and Leicester – at the latter Kenny The Captain goes (20.00) and sentiment will be scrubbed after a few let downs of late having looked a likely scorer back end of last term 🙂

For those on the £1k to £10k challenge….it’s a 40% win/place strike rate and our bank is now £1123.54 with current stakes £14.04
