Horse Racing Selections – 23rd August 2019
Day 2 of the Ebor saw Enable win the Group 1 Darley Yorkshire Oaks in good fashion, staying on strongly to come home from Magical in the forecast position. All attention will now turn to the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe with her looking to become the first horse in history to win the great race for the third time.
Today we’re back on the Knavesmire for Day 3 with the feature being the Nunthorpe, though the closing (16.50) is the only real race of interest to us and our trackers.
Elsewhere, despite racing at HQ, Goodwood, Salisbury & Ffos Las – there’s real poor turn outs, with only one 14f Class 6 at the Welsh track with over a double handful of runners making value finding a problem 🙁
Looking at noted trackers, Infanta Isabella goes in Goodwood’s (19.35) with as good a chance as any but no real EW value in just a 5 runner with a strong Haggas favourite if you’re looking at small forecasts?
At Chelmsford (19.45), Silvestre De Sousa is up top of Andrew Balding’s Zwayyan went into our book way back in April as doing best of the unplaced finishers. He hasn’t really shown anything since but won this race last year and is 2/2 on the AW.
LTO it was a solid looking run and back to form at Ascot so booking of SDS looks a signal of intent. It’s just lumping prices 7/2 for maybe those of you looking at lumping acca’s?
