Pontefract has fell to the weather leaving an opening week meeting on the turf from Windsor.

Nothing much from there either. A couple of low grade divisions of a Class 6 mile with the going heavy.

A solitary long term tracker, never backed, is Espresso Freddo in the (16.25). A case for that one could be made for Adrian Wintle’s veteran against the shortie Andromedas Kingdom. Hasn’t been with the yard long going on 3rd run this evening. A couple of bits of heavy ground form dating way back. Has gone well on 3rd run off extended breaks in the past. Nonetheless, hasn’t won since 2021, and hardly a recommendation with any conviction at 11/2 🙂

The week ahead has no meetings of note ‘oop North’ until Friday at Donny after which we will pull up stumps on the turf .

On the All Weather front, we’ll be switching over in totality from next week.  Tonight sees a meeting at Wolves with last weeks winner Canaria Prince back out in the (18.10) at lumping prices. Looks solid for a follow up with a decent draw 🙂

We’ll have a half stakes nibble at one going in the (18.40).
