Thursdays racing action on the flat comes from Pontefract & Newmarket with handicaps a bit thin on the ground.
At HQ there’s group racing with just a sole 8f Class 3 at (16.45). Nigel Tinkler sends Triple Distilled down for a rare go at a mile and will have a good pointer up against Charlie Appleby’s hot favourite, First Winter under William Buick.
At Ponty, the (14.05) has now gone a 7 runner but Tim Easterby’s Highwaygrey goes upped in class, on what would be a 5 timer at the track over C&D and raised over 20 for the season.
We’ll look for some EW value elsewhere at the track

Ponty 16.20 We have had a few touches about MUSHAARIF over the past couple of seasons and again some small beer tokens this term. The going tends to be best up the stands side and hopefully can make a play for that under top course jock, Paul Hanagan who takes over the steering from Zak Wheatley. The charge goes well in these stiff 5 and 6’s. Nonetheless, has had a few bits of ‘unlucky in running’ to his name this season and dropping to a more manageable field size can look to repeat a C3 win here last term off 2 below that mark. He also looks to hold re-opposing Princess Power and Mews House on his last run at Beverley There’s another tracker going in the form of another of our trackers, Lezardieux who looks a very solid looking favourite based on that previous win here. With no EW value on that one, he should provide a tow for the rest and drawn closeby our selection is a best 17/2 with bet365 this morning regulation 3 slots for our sole EW selection of the day.
