Horse Racing Selections – 25th September 2020

Ahead of the weekends cards there’s flat racing action from Haydock & Newmarket, again as yesterday, with targeted handicaps a bit thin on the ground.

Nonetheless, we managed to eke out a winner with Paul Hanagan getting up the stands rail on Musharrif advised at 17/2 at Ponty. Despite some R4 it wasn’t a bad return in that 6 runner as he just overhauled our other tracker, the 3yo Lezardrieus thank goodness!

We’ve one members selection for this afternoon at Haydock, and for those looking to go ‘sandbagging’ a real competitive finale at Newcastle this evening (20.30) where a couple of last years trackers, Lucky Lodge & Epeius go H2H. I can’t really split them but both offer each-way appeal to throw a bit of minor shrapnel at.

  1. Maybe HESSLEWOOD was worth more than a look, won at a decent price.

  2. That isn’t a criticism by the way, just an observation that the horse went off at a bigger price than expected.

    • yep, the drift possibly gave a clue, possibly with the drying ground at Haydock today – needs more of a quag 🙁
