On ‘Ripon Rowells’ Day, it’s a below par set of fields for Bank Holiday Monday with no encouragement for occasional racegoers to head off to a local course 🙁

The Garden course only racks up a ten runner in the final amateurs race, with Epsom much the same.

Even Cartmel can’t even muster a card of over 9 runners on a day sure to see the track bursting at the seams!

Looking at the ‘Rowells’ feature (16.30), Fayez went a recent non-runner on account of the going and looks a warm order today for David O’Meara on around 3’s. Looking outside of that with those threatening the slots who could win – Alfred Richardson won over track & trip on penultimate run and also ran well in defeat at Thirsk LTO when hitting traffic in-running in the final furlong. Oisin Murphy looks a strong booking and on around 7’s rates a decent EW chance?

Chepstow is the only card with a race of note and we’ll head there for today’s selection.
