Horse Racing Selections – 26th February 2020

It’s Southwell and Kempton on the all-weather providing Wednesday’s action.

The former is a 6 race, 36 runner tops meeting with no EW value despite a number of trackers going in the 7 runner (15.35). Best priced tracker out in that one is Gay Kelleway’s Robero who was noted 2 weeks back when his rider dropped his whip and then followed up with a 2nd at 6f running the odds on Sandridge Lad a neck 2nd. He’s upped two grades today and yet to place in this grade, 4 above his last winning mark, so a tough ask to place in just a 7 runner. Other trackers include Raydiance & Aljari with the former the more likely in this one and a likely lumping priced favourite for Karl Burke’s yard.

There’s more of note and a price at Kempton for the evening card. Looking at trackers (18.00), we have been served up a reminder with maidens having our fingers burnt with Mark Hoad’s Hey Ho Let’s Go who was a December tracker. Neither Jack Mitchell or Rab Havlin have coaxed him forward on the last 4 occasions and despite getting a near-perfect trap 1 draw, one we’ll oppose and go with selections in later races
