An afternoon card at Newcastle backed up with an evening meeting at Chelmsford are the all-weather meetings for Thursday

The only tracker of note going at Newcastle is Ben Haslam’s Fortamour going in the (16.45). He was noted in December and followed that up with an impressive lumping priced win over this C&D. He looks well drawn and should take all the beating from a nice low draw under Andrew Mullen and on around 3’s.

There’s more to consider at Chelmsford where another winning tracker, Kath’s Lustre goes from one out the handicap. Richard Hughes keeps apprentice Taylor Heard up top but this is a deeper 8 runner. Julie Camacho sends Mythical Spirit down for this one and the encouraging 3l defeat by Tathmeen LTO on the back of a break is more our idea of a lumper.

We’ll look at later races for our considerations today.
