For those on the new 2022/23 £1k to £10k Annual Challenge, the bank is at £2141.54 with current full stakes at £26.78 EW with over a 42% win/place rate.
The 2022 Turf bank finished at +72.89 pts to 1pt EW stakes with over a 43% win/place rate.
The 2022/3 All-Weather bank stands at +11.1 pts to 1pt EW stakes with over a 39% win/place rate.

Is a drifting 20-1 shot going to rescue us all at 7.30???!!!
no rescue sadly…that’s 4 winners from 73 selections and a loss of £380 to Challenge staking since 01 January 2023, as good a place to start monitoring as any!
David, why are you so ‘glass half empty’ 🙁 Yes we are on a poor run, but why decide the start of the year is a good place to start? The challenge starts every season on the start of the flat in April. We banked 73pts for the flat and still 7 in front on the AW so 80 pts up on the year before we start over again in April. The targeted strike rate is 10% win/45% place. There will always be around 90 losers per 100!
I think I was simply pointing out, Gary, that we are much more profitable on the Flat rather than the AW (is this why our good friend shuts up shop for the kitty litter?!)Looking at the total results for the current AW season it looks like 13 winners from 150 selections and a profit of £9…just short of the 10% target you mention. Bring on the Flat later this month I say!!
