Horse Racing Selections – 2nd November 2020

It’s an afternoon meet at Kempton and early evening card at Wolves on the all weather to kick the week off

October was a ‘monthus horribilis’ and our first losing month since we suffered similar form ending the AW season in Feb/March 🙁  With a bank of trackers and some established form, we should begin to kick on an get the challenge pot going northwards again. However, there certainly needs to be a review of how we end and start seasons.

Looking at those previous selections for those backing on next three outings, Get Boosting is out at Wolves (19.20). We questioned Andrew Mullen on that occasion as he did have a perfect draw to get him moving forward. When he did challenge was blocked out several times and feel was a lost opportunity now on at lumping prices.

There’s a couple of selections in the members from Wolves tonight.

  1. The win part of our bet was over after a furlong. The draw did for us but Mulrennan gave it a shocker. He hadn’t moved on it until the horse straightened up for home. By that time the winner had gone. I know absolutely nothing about A/W racing and very little about flat racing but surely you cannot give start like that. He must have thought he was on Nijinsky (that’s for the older members). I do not like criticising jockeys and realise it is a split second decision making job and generally they do well.

  2. Totally agree with you. Surely he could have had the horse more handily placed than dead last? He never gave the horse a chance to win.

  3. They really don’t like Heer we go again on the exchanges. You can currently get 18.5, which I’ve taken. You could probably put in an order at 4 for 4 places and expect it to be filled. That’s what I’ve done.

  4. Another losing day sadly

  5. If you record to s.p. then yes it was a small loss on the day. There was plenty of 12/1 available on Star Of Valour right up to mid morning so it was a level day for me.
