Horse Racing Selections – 7th May 2021

Friday sees the end of Chester’s May Festival, with cards at Ascot, Nottingham and Ripon to back that up.

A bit of shrapnel back with Count D’Orsay’s 2nd yesterday. He was always up against it against the very smartly away and all the way winner Jabbarockie. Nevertheless, finished the race off well and hopefully doesn’t get hiked too much for this run.

There’s nothing doing at Ascot, and best at Nottingham could well be Mark Loughnane’s Red Bravo going in the (17.30). He’s an existing tracker who came in from Charlie Hills who after a few consistent runs bolted in over this C&D last term. He could give a good showing, however is 6 over that last winning mark and generally needs an outing so will look elsewhere.

There’s two selections for today ahead of the weekend’s cards.

Back in the morning  just before 9.00 am.

For those on the new 2021/22 £1k to £10k Annual Challenge, the bank is £1180.36 and current full stakes, unless advised, £14.75 EW

The 2021 Turf bank currently stands at +19 pts to 1pt EW stakes with over a 42% win/place rate.

The 2020/21 All Weather bank ended at +144 pts to 1pt EW stakes with over a 39% win/place rate.
