Horse Racing Selections – 8th February 2021
Monday’s all weather racing comes from a single card at Wolves.
The opening apprentices (16.30) features a recent tracker in Everkyllachy. George Boughey’s charge was 2nd LTO to the improving Velvet Vista. Having come in from Karen McLintocks yard, he’s improved on each of the 5 runs for the yard and right on his previous winning marks. However, too short at around 3’s.
Outside of that, the (19.30) is the only race offering any 3 paying places and we have a suggestion for that one below.
Looking ahead, it could be Wednesday when we get back on the selections trail with Southwell’s card tomorrow mostly 2 paying placed races.
Back in the morning just before 8.30am.

Wolves 19.30 Micky Hammond has a decent record with his charges here and Quoteline Direct is on at wipes yer face prices in this one. However, one we have been tracking is BROKEN RIFLE who is a decent ew value in this one. Despite yet to get on the boards, Ivan Furtado’s charge was given a high opening mark and has placed on 50% of his AW runs. 3rd here over C&D on penultimate run, but overlooking his no show here LTO, has been tried and placed in C5. Now 12 below that opening mark, he looks the pick of the double digit prices to be somewhere around the slots dropping into a 0-60. He ran a couple of decent pre-Xmas runs at Kempton under today’s jock, Sean Levey. He has an excellent record 25% win/60% place when booked by the yard. He also knocks them out at over 14% over this trip at Wolves. A mid draw, is drawn close to the pace of Pallas Dancer and there’s a best 14’s with Hills and 12’s across the board this morning.

Just to update you on my attempts with Bet 365. I like what Nick does with extra places so thought i would give them a try. I spoke to a lovely representative who managed to get my account up and running again. The other day i wanted to back International Law with an extra place. I attempted to get on £25 each way with an extra place. It meant me taking 9/1 instead of the 12/1 freely available with other bookies but without the extra place. The max i could get on was £2.20 each way. I also tried to get an each way double on with You’re Cool. I tried £2 each way double but it would only let me have 32p each way double……. I didn’t put the bets on !!…. Today i have had a look at the Fairyhouse card and have a mate who knows a small amount about the Irish N.H scene. I tried to back two horses one at 35/1 with an extra place(4 places) and one at 30/1 with an extra place (4 places). The max i could get on was 60p each way. I tried the each way double at 20p each way but it wouldn’t let me do the double even at 5p each way. I think i will take my money out of Bet 365 yet again. I am not a big winning punter with Bet 365 but somehow they have red flagged me. Your time will be near Nick if you keep beating the odds.
Thanks for update Ian and sorry you are having such a hard time with them. I see Hills have a ‘pick your place’ option recently introduced. Similar to B365 but not so generous when for instance B365 still go 1/4 the odds and WH go 1/5 in races with less than 8 runners.
Take Mo Henry for instance – 4.30 Wolves
WH 9-1 6 places 1/5 odds, but boost available
B365 9-1 6 places 1/4 odds.
Will be interesting to know if you can get your desired bet on with WH.

That Hills price gets boosted to 9.78 making the place price 1.956/1 as opposed to B365 price of 2.25/1
