Hi Scott a site like https://www.oddschecker.com/horse-racing might help you with the value search. It tells you who does BOG (at the time) and what the prices are, it’s by no means independent (bookies pay to be featured here), however, it can give you the answer to the value key (also tells you no. places)
Skybet always show extra places but don’t do bog – I would probably suggest the lower price with a BOG bookmaker over the long run would be better value to you if you have that available as the prices tend to drift out rather than in.
Time to time Gary drops on a nationally tipped horse at publishing and the price gets taken by every man and his dog.
Today drifted out, before shortening to 5s at time of this post; I managed to get on at 9s

Only account I have left is Virgin bet and they only offer BOG 10am onwards unfortunately.
So i tend to back 50% on exchange live and the rest at BSP and log all the prices accordingly.
Yes oddschecker is main site i use as far as horse prices as like can see price movement of the horses when click on them and the time they changed by bookie etc etc

Yeah, it’s a bit of a pain for you then! There is very little liquidity in those markets at the time you’re placing bets.. the money all comes at 3 mins before the off.
There are a few people who chuck on at BSP, one thing I may suggest if your any good with spreadsheets is to have a look at last years challenge winners and you can see how many where bog as Gary has the advised price and the start price. You might find the winners drift a lot less and you can put your full order at BSP.
Don’t bother looking at the challenge before as that was a negative over all (if I remember correctly)
