Magical Spirit wins….advised @ 25/1
A cracker of a day, and indeed a good weeks punting at Ayr. Kevin Ryan’s MAGICAL SPIRIT quickened up really nicely to win the Ayr Silver Cup under Kevin Stott advised at 25/1. It was boosted with our second selection, I Am A Dreamer giving young Tyler Heard one of his best bits of public awareness with a strong finishing effort at another big price 🙂
With Tim Easterby’s True Blue Moon landing at 14’s. on Thursday, that’s pushed us to over the 108 pts profit to 1pt EW since we got back into it in June 🙂
For those on the £1k to £10k seasonal challenge its currently over a 45% win/place rate and our bank is £2916.68 with an ROI of over 35% and current stakes £36.56 EW

Today’s Selections
Ayr 14.30
Generally punting at the C3’s as we do, there’s few trackers who slip between C2 and C3 on our radar, including the likes of Muscika who has landed a biggie for us this term, Hyperfocus who we missed out on when overlooking his last, and C2 win at Haydock. Danzan is another who could well step it up for this week’s ‘hero’ Duran Fentiman and another Easterby runner, last years winner Golden Apollo has also been noted. Team Easterby have done us proud of late and all well capable of running big races in this for those looking to fire more than a couple of lower stakes EW darts in this one?
None the less am going for a smaller stakes bet we had on this charge LTO. I was really disappointed with the run from Paul Midgley’s I AM A DREAMER at Ripon when given a plum draw for Paul Mulrennan. Whether he missed the break, he had every right to run his usual style in that one, albeit Able Handy was on a good mark, could have have been a better effort. That race has thrown in some decent winning form with the likes of Roundhay Park finishing 2nd who won the ‘Bronze’ here yesterday.
Whether that was ‘protecting his mark’ for this time will tell, but he’s ran some decent races this term. 5th behind Jawaal at Ascot and then we noted him when running a nice race behind Staxton in the Great St Wilfrid Handicap at Ripon. That looked a cracking run near the head of affairs from the wrong side of the track under claimer Darragh Keenan.
Today he gets another claimer up top who has caught our eye in ‘7lb-er’ Tyler Heard that makes him appear very well handicapped if putting his best foot forward from the front.
He looks too big a price in this one with best 33/1 and SIX slots on from a good number of outfits.
Our second selection in this for a half stakes nibble is Kevin Ryan’s MAGICAL SPIRIT. He’s another tracker have been monitoring who ran well behind Count D’Orsay at Haydock 2 weeks back.
The early season Beverley winner is on 2nd outing since wind surgery and summer break, so if that Haydock run was a sign of improvement then has a shout here.
Kevin Ryan’s best month for strike rate is generally September and this fellow also has two wins at this time of year 🙂
Effective at 5 & 6, he’s been running on well of late at the minor trips to warrant a nibble here over this 6f with those enhanced paying slots as offered.
There’s a best 25/1 with bet365 and FIVE slots for this one.
