Mendoza wins…..BOG @ 10/1

We were right to take on the short priced favourite as Ryan Tate gave us another cracking winner with James Eustace trained  MENDOZA. The race panned out more or less as we’d hoped with him sitting just off the pace from the outsider, Chris Mason’s Guilt Edge and alongside the Varian runner. He hit the front at the furlong post and won with a bit in hand with the 6/5f trailing home a well-beaten fifth.

For those on the £1k to £10k challenge….it’s a near 38% win/place strike rate and our bank is now £1955.56 with current stakes £24.24

Kempton 19.10

Dawaaween is going to be popular having opened her account on handicap debut over this C&D this month. However this is a stronger looking renewal and not looking very well drawn in trap 8 looks more of a ‘lay’ option?

Looking at some value to oppose that short-priced favourite, Ryan Tate comes down for a sole ride on MENDOZA for James Eustace.

He won here over the 6f during the summer and on penultimate run was 10l last of 10 when hopelessly drawn under Pat Cosgrave in a race that has thrown up multiple winners.

However, he bounced back as a decent 2nd of 12 LTO here over C&D last month and can build on that here.

The pairing have an excellent record at the track and he looks particularly well-drawn in this one to be able to get on the shoulder of the Varian runner in trap 2.

The stable reported him in good form at home prior to that last race and is still said to be working well.

Upped 2 pounds, he should run another decent race and there’s a best 10/1 with bet365 this morning.
