Monday – 10th December 2018

We were right to pass on yesterday as it turned out with Red Rising coming home 3rd to the Harry Fry trained Bags Groove at Huntingdon. Elsewhere we mentioned , Eaton Miller who ran 2nd at wipes yer face 11/2 and Tom Symonds charge still remains a maiden despite running on well at the finish.

At Lingfield it’s difficult to look beyond the favourites in the races we target – Burgess Dream is in our tracker and would have been a consideration in the (13.30) with a decent showing under his belt. Unfortunately he was pulled up LTO and Paddy Brennan looks solid EW wipes yer face on For Carmel but we’ll not get involved in that. In the (15.00) The Philip Hobbs Cigarisi looks one for the lumpers, where we could have considered another Brennan ride in Minella Gathering but will probably find this a bit sharp on re-appearance?

At Musselburgh, there’s not a ton of runners and Sandy Thompson’s Nendrum looks another for the lumpers and atone for a fall LTO. He will look to do it all from the front under Steven Fox in the (12.15)

We have a sole selection for members going in the (14.45) at Musselburgh.

For those on the £1k to £10k challenge….we’ve now over a 36% win/place strike rate with an ROI of nearly 25%…..our bank is now £1107.16 and current stakes are now £13.84 EW

130 7. GREEN ZONE Lisa Harrison Ross Chapman
129 1. GOLDEN JEFFREY Iain Jardine Bruce Lynn (6)

Nendrum had the race at his mercy over C&D last week and can gain compensation if none the worse. Green Zone and Golden Jeffrey head up the opposition.

Timeform Top Rated:
139 2. GET OUT THE GATE Jim Goldie Callum Bewley
133p 4. THIBAULT Kim Bailey Sean Bowen

Analyst’s Verdict:
Cases can be made for all 4 runners, but Thibault edges the vote following a promising third to a good prospect at Kempton on hurdles bow last month. Doctor Dex is selected for the forecast.

Timeform Top Rated:
140 1. WOLFCATCHER Ian Williams Tom O’Brien

Timeform Top Rated:
122 3. CIVIL UNREST James Ewart Steven Fox (5)
121 1. ONTOPOFTHEWORLD Peter Bowen Sean Bowen
120 4. CHAIN OF BEACONS Katie Scott Callum Bewley

Analyst’s Verdict:
Ontopoftheworld notched a fourth win of the campaign at Fakenham last month and appeals as the most solid option, with in-form veteran Civil Unrest a close second choice.

2.15 Enjoy The Jumps On RacingUK Introductory Juvenile Hurdle (2) 1m7f124y

Timeform Top Rated:
130p 3. LIVA Donald McCain Daryl Jacob
116 7. SARVI Jim Goldie Callum Bewley

Analyst’s Verdict:
Liva didn’t do a lot wrong when runner-up on hurdles bow at Catterick a fortnight ago and this looks an obvious chance for him to go one better. Paddy The Chef was of similar merit on the level to the selection and represents an excellent yard, so he ought to be a factor in a race like this.

2.45 Best Jumps Action On RacingUK Handicap Hurdle (Qualifier) (3) 2m7f180y

Timeform Top Rated:
137p 3. COURT LIABILITY Harry Whittington Harry Bannister
136 8. ARTHURS SECRET Sandy Thomson Rachael McDonald (5)
134 4. FLY VINNIE Alistair Whillans Callum Bewley

Analyst’s Verdict:
Court Liability has a year-long absence to overcome, but he defends an unbeaten record under Rules and this trip may bring out more from him assuming all is well. Arthurs Secret and Island Heights are feared most.

118 1. THYNE FOR GOLD Donald McCain Brian Hughes
