Not a good week by our standards following those two winners last weekend….it would have been nice to get stuck amongst a couple of decent meetings on a Monday but afraid it’s a sole meeting on the south coast at Brighton with nothing of note…….that £3k is proving difficult to smash through and kick on at the moment 🙁

A day to get stuck into contacts and review for Catterick tomorrow…..we’ll just post Timeform for Listowel meet and get back early in the morning

2.15 Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Maiden 6f60y
Timeform Rating of previous winners: – – – 87 97

Analyst’s Verdict:
All The King’s Men and Rex Place have achieved a similar level so far, but the former is open to plenty of progress for his top connections so is readily preferred. Mofakker isn’t judged too harshly on his latest run and is perhaps best of the rest.

97p 1. ALL THE KING’S MEN Aidan O’Brien Donnacha O’Brien
97 7. REX PLACE Denis Hogan Seamie Heffernan
85p 6. MOFAKKER D. K. Weld Declan McDonogh

2.45 Feale Handicap 6f60y

Analyst’s Verdict:
Landline did well to overcome a troubled passage when resuming winning ways at Roscommon last week, and on that evidence, can make a bold follow-up bid from 4 lb higher. This is competitive though, with Polly Douglas and Pillar feared most.

3.20 Edmund & Josie Whelan Memorial Listowel Stakes (Listed) 1m1f
Timeform Rating of previous winners: – – 114 111 116 (Avg 114)

Analyst’s Verdict:
The Aidan O’Brien-trained trio all command considerable respect, particularly Hence, who did well to finish as close as she did when third in a Group 3 at the Curragh recently. Unlike that race, this should be a strongly-run affair and the Galileo filly may have too many guns for stablemate Clear Skies. The unbeaten Hand On Heart brings potential to the table and she is not to be underestimated.

3.50 Sky Sports Racing Launching In 2019 (Premier Handicap) 1½m

Analyst’s Verdict:
Astronomer is improving quickly and looks capable of completing the hat-trick. Maysiyana and Lady Camelot are others to consider.

4.25 Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Premier Nursery Handicap 1m

Analyst’s Verdict:
Mount Tabora failed to justify favouritism in the Galway maiden won by Zander, but he should be suited by this step up in trip and meets that rival on 10 lb better terms now pitched into a nursery. That said, Zander remains open to improvement and is feared most ahead of Highway To Success, who disappointed on his first run in a nursery at the Curragh but looked promising prior to that.

4.55 Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Fillies Handicap 1m

Analyst’s Verdict:
Waitingfortheday has been most progressive this year and seems sure to give another good account back up in trip. Check Your Pockets is respected back in handicap company, while Angel Island and Passing Trade are others who could figure.

Analyst’s Verdict:
Spirit of Big Bang produced his best effort to date when runner-up at Killarney 3 weeks ago and, with further progress likely in the offing, he can make it fourth time lucky. Laughifuwant and Mona Bell are also respected in a field largely consisting of longer-term projects.
