The favourite’s lost out in yesterday’s feature with the Nottinghamshire Oaks going to Charlie Fellow’s Mia Tesoro…..Saturday skipping Titi Mafki came home 2nd whilst Willie Haggas’s Maid To Remember was sent of favourite and a disappointing 4th, with our tracker horse Company Asset in 5th.

In the other race we mentioned, Hayley Turner won with Sir Titan and this one still looks to have something in hand being produced just off the shoulders of the leaders to win in the last 100yds.

On to today…..there’s just a sole afternoon meet at Brighton with Windsor & Ponty this evening and the speedmeisters view on latter below, where we have a busier day than usual for members……THREE SELECTIONS.

Others of interest…..at Brighton, only 5 go for the 16.00 and possibly one for the lumpers……C&D winner ROUNDABOUT MAGIC going and he was was closing all the way to the post at Lingfield LTO. Simon Dow’s colt likes the undulations here and similarly has good form at Goodwood & Lingfield. Having placed in both subsequent starts, going off 67 with a highest winning 66 is a genuine favourite. His best form comes in under 8 runner races and this is a slight drop in class from the C4 at Lingfield LTO.

At Ponty this evening 19.40, Richard Fahey’s Crotchet was 3rd in an all age handicap LTO at Ripon and that came off switching positions a couple of times and interference – back in his age group should be around the premises at wipes yer face prices.

6.40 Huddersfield Giants Fillies’ Novice Auction Stakes (5) 6f
Timeform Rating of previous winners: 103 – 84 96 88 (Avg 93)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Freed From Desire was narrowly behind Alban’s Dream on her recent debut but receives 4 lb from that rival on this occasion and that could be enough for Ivan Furtado’s charge to turn the tables. Pink Iceburg and Dancing On A Dream are others to consider in a competitive opener.

Timeform Top Rated
83p 8. FREED FROM DESIRE Ivan Furtado Jane Elliott (5)
81p 4. ALBAN’S DREAM Robert Eddery Oisin Murphy
78p 1. DANCING ON A DREAM Mark Johnston P. J. McDonald

7.10 Tony Bethell Memorial Handicap (Round 3) (4) 2m1f27y

Analyst’s Verdict:
The form of Waiting For Richie’s York success received a boost when the runner-up scored last week and Tom Tate’s charge can make light of a 2lb rise. It’s all clicked for Becky The Thatcher on the Flat since the cheekpieces have gone on and she remains potentially well treated based on her hurdles form, while former course scorer Wind Place And Sho has been given a chance by the handicapper.

Timeform Top Rated
96 10. BECKY THE THATCHER Micky Hammond Franny Norton
95 7. TYRELL Lawrence Mullaney Daniel Tudhope
93 4. WAITING FOR RICHIE Tom Tate James Sullivan

7.40 Mr Wolf Sprint Handicap (3) 6f

Analyst’s Verdict:
Roundhay Park’s latest York fourth represents strong form and this progressive sprinter can resume winning ways here. The main threat may come from Crotchet who didn’t handle the undulations at Ripon last time and probably did well to finish third.

Timeform Top Rated
104 1. ROUNDHAY PARK Nigel Tinkler Lewis Edmunds (3)
103+ 4. CROTCHET Richard Fahey Paddy Mathers
102 3. PRESTBURY PARK Mark Johnston Franny Norton

8.10 Wakefield Trinity Handicap (2) 1½m5y

Analyst’s Verdict:
Contango got his career back on track with a good third at York last time and can build on that and resume winning ways. Last-time-out scorer Manjaam could be the one to give him most to think about.

Timeform Top Rated
119 4. CONTANGO Andrew Balding Oisin Murphy
118 3. MANJAAM Ed Dunlop Edward Greatrex
118 6. FINAL Mark Johnston Joe Fanning

8.40 Castleford Tigers Handicap (5) 6f

Analyst’s Verdict:
A wide-open sprint in which it may be worth chancing 2017 winner Round The Island who has dropped below his last winning mark and shaped as if back in better form at Beverley last time. Araqeel hinted at better for new trainer Paul Midgley last time, while Avenue of Stars is well treated if ready to roll after a break.

Timeform Top Rated
82 12. AVENUE OF STARS Karen McLintock Andrew Mullen
81 8. KINGOFMERROWS Karen Tutty Shane Gray
80 1. ALFIE’S ANGEL Karen Tutty Gemma Tutty (5)

9.10 Featherstone Rovers Handicap (5) 5f3y

Analyst’s Verdict:
It’s easy to put a line through Foxtrot Knight’s latest run (saddle slipped) and he looks sure to go well at a venue where he has a win and a close second to his name this season. War Whsiper was back on song for new trainer Paul Midgley when runner-up at Musselburgh last time and could easily build on that, while the hat-trick seeking Dapper Man also merits plenty of respect.

Timeform Top Rated
95 1. FOXTROT KNIGHT Ruth Carr Jane Elliott (5)
94 7. LEXINGTON PLACE Ruth Carr James Sullivan
93 3. MUSHARRIF Declan Carroll Tom Eaves

WOWSER!!!!!

The guys from Cleeve have really hit the ground running in May with OVER 67PTS PROFIT as we take a step forward and one back !!!!

Like we said previous…….they target higher end c2+ than ourselves and have got off to a cracking start to the season. Have a look around their site linked below with a past results visible.

Our selections shouldn’t clash due to the nature of races we tend to get involved with and should be a nice complimentary and personal service from Nick & the guys to run alongside our own this summer.
