12.40 Mansionbet Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle (5) 2½m

Timeform Top Rated:
111+ 2. URBANIST Dr Richard Newland Charlie Hammond (3)
110 4. UNO MAS Christian Williams Rex Dingle (3)
109 5. FLANAGANS FIELD Bernard Llewellyn Robert Williams (3)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Urbanist ended his time with Shane Nolan in good order, and having joined a yard with few peers when it comes to improving new inmates, he could easily up his game on return (has undergone breathing surgery in the interim). Uno Mas didn’t beat much at Fakenham but is just 2 lb higher, with Hepburn another to consider.

1.10 Mansionbet Maiden Hurdle (4) 1m7f182y

Timeform Top Rated:
137 8. MONSIEUR LECOQ Mrs Jane Williams Lizzie Kelly (3)
121p 6. EVA’S OSKAR Tim Vaughan Alan Johns
113p 10. ON THE ROX Evan Williams James Bowen

Analyst’s Verdict:
Monsieur Lecoq departed halfway in an Auteuil listed event last time but holds strong form claims on his earlier placed efforts over here and can open his account. Eva’s Oskar and Mouseinthehouse head the opposition.

1.45 Mansionbet Chase (Novices’ Limited Handicap) (4) 2½m199y

Timeform Top Rated:
132 8. COUGAR’S GOLD Peter Bowen Sean Bowen
131 6. GONE PLATINUM David Rees Tom Scudamore
128 3. LEX TALIONIS Charlie Mann Sam Twiston-Davies

Analyst’s Verdict:
A good opportunity for Cougar’s Gold to follow up his emphatic Uttoxeter win under a penalty. Fille des Champs could be the danger starting out in this sphere, though Lex Talionis is entitled to build on his Taunton second and he could go well under Sam Twiston-Davies.

2.15 Walters Group Novices’ Hurdle (4) 2½m

Timeform Top Rated:
136p 5. SHAMAN DU BERLAIS Tim Vaughan Alan Johns
121p 2. FINANCIAL OUTCOME Rebecca Curtis Jeremiah McGrath
112p 7. WEE SAXON Colin Tizzard Tom Scudamore

Analyst’s Verdict:
This can go to Shaman du Berlais, who belied his odds (100-1) when a close third at Chepstow on hurdles debut last month and should have more to offer yet. Financial Outcome and Wee Saxon look the likeliest dangers.

2.50 Jim Hibbs Christmas Handicap Hurdle (Qualifier) (3) 1m7f182y

Timeform Top Rated:
133 1. THE GIPPER Evan Williams Adam Wedge
131 2. STARCROSSED Lady Susan Brooke Miss Lorna Brooke (7)
130 5. LLANTARA Tom Symonds Ben Poste

Analyst’s Verdict:
There are more races to be won with Llantara judged on her recent comeback run at Ludlow and she could see off the penalised The Gipper with the heavy ground very much in her favour.

3.20 ROA/Racing Post Owners’ Jackpot Handicap Chase (4) 3m1f60y

Timeform Top Rated:
120 3. SUTTER’S MILL Evan Williams Adam Wedge
118x 7. STEEL NATIVE David Rees Tom Scudamore
117§ 8. ASTIGOS Lady Susan Brooke Miss Lorna Brooke (7)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Sutter’s Mill matched his best form over fences when scoring at Ludlow last month and will be suited by this stiffer test of stamina. He can follow up. Steel Native and Cabragh rate the principal dangers.

3.50 Mansionbet ‘Newcomers’ Standard Open National Hunt Flat (5) 1m7f182y

Timeform Top Rated:
No ratings for this race

Analyst’s Verdict:
No form to assess, but Stick With Bill, Little Red Lion and Moonlight Camp all represent successful yards and are preferred in that order before market vibes are apparent.
