Not a whole load of action today with just Brighton on the turf…..looking at that meet, Kirkland Forever goes in the (16.40) for EJH – still a maiden this one put up a decent showing over this track and trip last month and today under Charles Bishop is around 9/2 with 4 paying places from a couple of companies. LTO he was a distance behind Zoffany Bay who was a favourite dropping a grade, but this lightly raced sort shouldn’t be far away for those looking outside of member selections for any small EW interest.

Aside from this there is nothing really stand out at a price but there’s supporting Timeform for the meet below for those looking.

Saturday’s intro notes managed to pinpoint Hugo Palmer’s Ghayadh who was a nice priced 8/1 winner in that 6 runner alongside a placed effort from Dakota Gold in the Portland.

BOL with your bets today and we’ll be back with hopefully something for Redcar tomorrow.

2.10 Racegoers Club 50th Anniversary Apprentice Selling Handicap (6) 1m1f207y

Timeform Top Rated:
72 1. LIGHT OF AIR Gary Moore Rhys Clutterbuck (7)
71 6. LET ME IN Bernard Llewellyn Finley Marsh (3)
71§ 2. TOP BEAK Michael Attwater Paddy Bradley (3)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Light of Air put in another good shift at this venue when third a fortnight ago and having been eased 1 lb since, he could be the answer. Let Me In and Cricklewood Green head the opposition.

2.40 Geoff Pygall Pickfords Maiden Auction Stakes (6) 6f210y

Timeform Top Rated:
87p 9. RED ARMOUR John Ryan Jason Watson (3)
86 6. ELYSIAN LADY Michael Wigham George Wood
81p 7. COMEONFEELTHEFORCE Jonathan Portman Rob Hornby

Analyst’s Verdict:
Red Armour stepped forward from her debut when runner-up in a minor event at Newmarket a month ago, and with further progress on the cards, is taken to go one better. Comeonfeeltheforce is also capable of better, while Limelighter starts out at a realistic level.

3.10 Antiques, Vintage & Collectables Fair 21 October Handicap (6) (D.I) 6f210y

Timeform Top Rated:
80 7. IMBUCATO Tony Carroll Poppy Bridgwater (5)
78 3. EMILY GOLDFINCH Phil McEntee Rossa Ryan (3)
76 5. PASSING STAR Daniel Kubler Luke Morris

Analyst’s Verdict:
Imbucato was seen to good effect under Poppy Bridgwater when landing a 1m handicap here last week, but even so he was nicely on top at the line and escapes a penalty, so he should make a bold follow-up bid. Passing Star and Violet’s Lads head the opposition.

3.40 Antiques, Vintage & Collectables Fair 21 October Handicap (6) (D.II) 6f210y

Timeform Top Rated:
78 4. FREEBE ROCKS Michael Bell Luke Morris
76 2. DANCE ME Sylvester Kirk Tom Marquand
75 1. SUITSUS Geoffrey Deacon Trevor Whelan

Analyst’s Verdict:
Freebe Rocks is very well weighted on his AW form, and his recent third at Leicester confirms he can do it on turf, so he makes plenty of appeal. Dance Me is second choice, though Admirable Art is dangerous if scaling a revival with Adam Kirby booked.

4.10 cinestock.co.uk Drive-In Cinema 28 September Handicap (4) 5f215y

Timeform Top Rated:
98 2. WILEY POST Tony Carroll Tom Marquand
97 7. ANDALUSITE John Gallagher Finley Marsh (5)
95 8. ARCANISTA Chris Dwyer Lewis Edmunds

Analyst’s Verdict:
Andalusite‘s all-the-way success over 7f at this venue last month is backed up by the clock, and she could have been hit harder than a 5 lb rise, so is selected to go in again back in trip. Arcanista is in top form and has to be feared, along with Wiley Post.

4.40 Brighton Business Expo 2018 October 11 Handicap (6) 1m3f198y

Timeform Top Rated:
73 3. KIRKLAND FOREVER Eve Johnson Houghton Charles Bishop
72+ 1. EARTHLY Bernard Llewellyn Stevie Donohoe
71 13. DAWN OF RECKONING Bill Turner Kieran O’Neill

Analyst’s Verdict:
Kirkland Forever had no chance with a well-handicapped rival over C&D a month ago, but she beat the rest, and having been eased 1 lb, is of strong interest down in class. Rocksette has been expensive to follow throughout her career but is expected to be on the premises, with Frantical completing the shortlist.

5.10 Injured Jockeys Fund Handicap (5) 7f211y

Timeform Top Rated:
84 7. NARJES Laura Mongan Sophie Ralston (7)
83 1. BALTIC PRINCE Tony Carroll Poppy Bridgwater (5)
83 9. TRIPLE FIRST Seamus Mullins Rob Hornby

Analyst’s Verdict:
This looks open, with Narjes the selection having worked her way back to form last month, and though her revised mark has now kicked in, it remains a workable one. Barrsbrook has the ability to win a race like this and a breathing operation may help his finishing effort. Baashiq is also considered.

5.40 Brighton Lions Firework Night November 4th Handicap (6) 5f60y

Timeform Top Rated:
81 8. ASK THE GURU Michael Attwater Kieren Fox
80 1. BROADHAVEN HONEY Ronald Harris Jason Watson (3)
80 11. HURRICANE ALERT Mark Hoad David Egan

Analyst’s Verdict:
Flowing Clarets is now 2 lb below her last successful mark, and in the hope she is ridden with slightly more restraint this time, is selected to get off the mark for the season. Ask The Guru could go well at a price, with Broadhaven Honey another to consider with conditions more suitable than Goodwood.
