Monday Newsletter – 4th February
Carlisle has gone to the weather leaving us just the possibility of racing at Taunton, though we’ve written this ahead of a 7.30 inspection.
In the last (16.45) there’s a bit of EW value about Flanagan’s Field who has quality claimer Conor Brace up top. He ran poorly LTO but previously looked to be coming to hand off a reduced mark and worth a double digit odds 50pEW 🙂
However, we feel we have a stronger one in the (16.15) for members also going at a double digit EW price……Timeform is for Chelmsford for those looking at some guaranteed racing.
For those on the £1k to £10k challenge it’s currently a 35% win/place strike rate…..our bank is now £786.74 and stakes are now £9.83 EW
Anyone wishing to contact us direct, please use the email address alwaysbackwinners2018@gmail.com or at feedback@ always-back-winners.com……any FREE SERVICE MEMBERS looking to receive the latest premium service selections and join the next £1k to £10k quest.……just follow the UPGRADE link.

2.00 Double Delight Hat-Trick Heaven At totesport.com Handicap (7) 1¼m
Timeform Top Rated
58 4. AFFLUENCE Martin Smith Rhiain Ingram (5)
57 1. DON’T DO IT Michael Appleby Luke Morris
56 5. STEEL HELMET Harriet Bethell Josephine Gordon
Analyst’s Verdict:
Both Affluence and Don’t Do It are long-standing maidens, so cannot be backed with confidence, but the former looks slightly more willing in a finish, so gets the verdict. Iberica Road should strip fitter with his Newcastle run behind him and is perhaps best of the rest.
2.30 Bet In-Play At totesport.com Handicap (7) 7f
Timeform Top Rated
65 3. ADMIRABLE ART Tony Carroll John Egan
62 1. LITTLE MISS KODI Daniel Loughnane Liam Jones
60 5. MR POTTER Richard Guest Philip Prince
Analyst’s Verdict:
Little Miss Kodi has been given a chance by the handicapper and was only just denied at Kempton on Saturday. She can return to winning ways. Baby Gal, Be Bold and Admirable Art make up the shortlist.
3.00 Totepool Cashback Club At totesport.com Handiacp (6) 1m
Timeform Top Rated
65 2. RED GUNNER Daniel Loughnane Liam Jones
64 5. GOLD CLUB Lee Carter Liam Keniry
64 6. MISU PETE Mark Usher Ellie MacKenzie (7)
Analyst’s Verdict:
Sharp Operator deservedly resumed winning ways at Wolverhampton 6 days ago and there appears no reason why he won’t make another bold bid under a penalty. Red Gunner and Gold Club can give him most to do.
3.30 Extra Places At totesport.com Handicap (6) 6f
Timeform Top Rated
79 3. KNOCKOUT BLOW Jim Boyle Charlie Bennett
78 1. MOTHER OF DRAGONS Phil McEntee Rossa Ryan
77 5. DARK MAGIC Dean Ivory Jack Duern (3)
Analyst’s Verdict:
Knockout Blow doesn’t look the easiest of rides but he nevertheless left the distinct impression that his turn is near when a close third at Wolverhampton last week. Assuming the cheekpieces work equally well second time round, the 4-y-o could be the answer. The in-form Foreign Legion has to enter the reckoning but he’s climbing the weights, and Dark Magic and Billyoakes rate bigger dangers.
4.00 £20 Free Bets At totesport.com Handicap (6) 5f
Timeform Top Rated
69 5. SKIP TO MY LOU Peter Crate Kieren Fox
67 8. STORM TROOPER Charlie Wallis Andrew Mullen
66 3. FOXY BOY Rebecca Bastiman William Carson
Analyst’s Verdict:
Skip To My Lou showed improved form to get off the mark at Lingfield last week, and looks a filly ahead of the assessor at present. She can go in again. Foxy Boy and Invisible Storm head up the opposition.
4.30 Irish Lotto At totesport.com Maiden Stakes (5) 1¼m
Timeform Top Rated
84 2. GANTIER John Gosden Nicky Mackay
82 3. FAYETTA David Loughnane Laura Coughlan (7)
74 1. REDEMPTORIST Olly Murphy Seamus Cronin (7)
Analyst’s Verdict:
Fayetta has run to a consistent level in a handful of starts for David Loughnane and may be able to get off the mark at the sixth attempt. Likely favourite Gantier is the obvious danger but it remains to be seen if the first-time blinkers have the desired effect.
