1.30 Sky Sports Racing Launching January 2019 Maiden Hurdle (4) 1m7f195y

Timeform Top Rated:
128p 9. ZOFFANY BAY Ali Stronge Adam Wedge
127 7. MARETTIMO Bill Turner Sean Houlihan (5)
119 10. VENETIAN PROPOSAL Zoe Davison Tom Cheesman (5)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Zoffany Bay made a fine start over hurdles when second at Exeter a fortnight ago and can go one better with improvement forthcoming. Marettimo can surely pick up a race in this sphere before long, while Champions Club and Looks Frozen are interesting on their first runs over hurdles.

Timeform Top Rated:
121p 5. ROSES POSES Charlie Longsdon Jonathan Burke
101 4. KENTFORD MALLARD Seamus Mullins Kevin Jones (5)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Roses Poses made a solid start over hurdles when third at Warwick last month and could prove the answer here if improving as expected, although dual bumper winner Andapa obviously has the potential to be a big threat if she can get round (departed first on hurdle bow in August). We’llcwhathappens was successful on her sole start in points and also merits respect.

113 2. BETWEEN THE WATERS Jamie Snowden Gavin Sheehan
110§ 5. PRESENTING BERKLEY Tim Vaughan Alan Johns
108+ 7. DIPLOMATICO David Bridgwater Daniel Hiskett (5)

Analyst’s Verdict:
The one who appeals most is Between The Waters, who appeared to match the form of his breakthrough success at Fontwell when runner-up over this C&D a fortnight ago. Irish raider Sweet Destination and Presenting Berkley are likely to emerge as the main dangers, though it’s also worth keeping an eye on Megaboost, who may well improve for the switch to fences.

Timeform Top Rated:
131 4. DING DING Sheena West Marc Goldstein
130 2. ROYAL HALL Gary Moore Jamie Moore
129 3. RAMORE WILL Chris Gordon Tom Cannon

Analyst’s Verdict:
Little to choose between the 4 of these and marginal preference is for course specialist Ding Ding, who was returning from a 5-month break when behind Royal Hall here a couple of weeks ago and enjoys a healthy pull at the weights. Royal Hall now bids for a 4-rimer and he has to be feared, while Lovato will probably bounce back from his below-par display at Wincanton with cheekpieces back on.

Timeform Top Rated:
114 1. THE TIN MINER David Bridgwater Daniel Hiskett (5)
108x 2. TURBAN Paul Henderson Tom O’Brien
100x 5. GRAYHAWK Diana Grissell Marc Goldstein

Analyst’s Verdict:
The Tin Miner would have probably won if standing up when last seen here 13 months ago and has been found a good opening on his comeback if all is well. Turban is the danger.

Timeform Top Rated:
105 3. WESTERBEE Seamus Mullins Daniel Sansom (5)
104 7. LAMH AR LAMH Nigel Hawke Sean Bowen
103 1. MAC BELLA Evan Williams Adam Wedge

Analyst’s Verdict:
It’s interesting that Neil Mulholland is prepared to give Willyegolassiego another chance around 3m and she gets a tentative vote in a race where nothing arrives with compelling claims. Mac Bella is still relatively unexposed and this is her first attempt over a staying trip, while a market move for Youknowell would also bring her into the reckoning.
