No selections yesterday so it’s straight into Monday’s cards where at Ayr…old Crazy Tornado goes in the last (17.45) – we’ve had nice bits about him in the past and he’s dropping to a handy mark. He’s never been one for putting his nose in front when the ground is rattling so we will wait for some ease in the going before we look at him. Intiwin is another interesting one in this race, potentially back out after a day and another whose mark is dropping and if running will be on a new adjusted 52 from running out of the handicap yesterday.

We’ve have a couple for members today and Timeform is for the Windsor meeting this evening.

5.40 Bateaux Windsor’s Restaurant Cruise Experiences Apprentice Handicap (6) 6f12y

Timeform Top Rated:
76 4. AGUEROOO Charlie Wallis Joshua Bryan
75 10. ESSAKA Tony Carroll Sophie Ralston (5)
75§ 8. PERFECT PASTIME Jim Boyle Paddy Bradley

Analyst’s Verdict:
A first turf win could be on the cards for Aguerooo, who wasn’t beaten far in a better-grade handicap than this at Newbury recently. Essaka commands considerable respect on the back of his solid placed efforts at Chepstow the last twice and Letmestopyouthere also enters calculations.

6.10 starsportsbet.co.uk EBF Novice Stakes (5) 6f12y

Timeform Top Rated:
90 7. SENSE OF BELONGING Kevin Ryan Tom Eaves
89p 3. GLORIOUS LOVER Ed Walker Gerald Mosse
86 1. BOA NOVA Brian Meehan Oisin Murphy

Analyst’s Verdict:
Glorious Lover showed enough on his Newbury debut to suggest that a race of this nature should be well within his grasp. He gets the nod ahead of Requited, who caught the eye at Kempton recently and, like the selection, is open to improvement. Sense of Belonging is worth another chance despite disappointing last time and Boa Nova also merits respect back at this more realistic level.

6.40 Horse Guards Gin The Burnaby Claiming Stakes (5) 1¼m

Timeform Top Rated:
91 4. STAR OF ZAAM K. R. Burke Rhona Pindar (7)
90 2. SOTOMAYOR Richard Hannon Pat Dobbs
77 6. MINIATURE DAFFODIL David Evans Hayley Turner

Analyst’s Verdict:
Star of Zaam posted his best effort yet in first-time blinkers when runner-up at Ripon 19 days ago and is marginally preferred to Sotomayor in what, on these terms, should essentially be a two-horse race. Miniature Daffodil is best of the rest.

7.10 Horse Guards Gin John ‘Bear’ Shaw Handicap (4) 1m31y

Timeform Top Rated:
86p 4. BRIGAND William Haggas Ryan Moore
85 3. JUPITER Henry Candy Fran Berry
84 5. HOW BIZARRE Kevin Ryan Tom Eaves

Analyst’s Verdict:
Brigand lost little caste in defeat when third off this mark in an apprentice handicap at Chester last time and, with Ryan Moore doing the steering this time, he looks the one to be on. How Bizarre should give it a good shot from the front and is feared most ahead of Jupiter and handicap debutant Quality Seeker.

7.40 Horse Guards Gin Marquess of Granby Handicap (5) 1¼m

Timeform Top Rated:
80 8. EL BORRACHO Simon Dow Adam Kirby
79 4. ELTEZAM Amanda Perrett Pat Dobbs
79 5. IBALLISTICVIN Gary Moore Ryan Moore

Analyst’s Verdict:
A chance is taken on Boscastle, who cut little ice in 3 runs last year but it would be no surprise were she to raise her game considerably now pitched into a handicap off a lowly mark. If the market speaks in her favour, all the better. Sarstedt is also worth a second look now handicapping but the selection may have most to fear from the more established Iballisticvin and El Borracho.

8.10 Horse Guards Gin Lord Uxbridge Novice Stakes (5) 1m31y

Timeform Top Rated:
84p 1. ANCHISES Richard Hannon Ryan Moore
81p 5. KING’S SLIPPER Clive Cox Adam Kirby
81 11. PROCURE Amanda Perrett Robert Havlin

Analyst’s Verdict:
It was a decent event in which Anchises was an encouraging third on debut at Newmarket (second has won since) and, with improvement on the cards, he should prove hard to beat. King’s Slipper is next on the list following his improved effort at Salisbury, while newcomer Dark Seraphim looks the part on paper and Procure should be sharper following her Newbury introduction.

8.40 At The Races Handicap (4) 1m3f99y

Timeform Top Rated:
101p 3. GARDEN OASIS Sir Michael Stoute Ryan Moore
99 4. CANDIDATE Hughie Morrison Adam Kirby
98 2. BAYSHORE FREEWAY Mark Johnston Franny Norton

Analyst’s Verdict:
The form of the Haydock handicap Garden Oasis won last month is working out well and, with the strong possibility of better to come from this unexposed colt, he makes plenty of appeal. Candidate merits respect on the back of his solid C&D effort and We Know is worth another chance but the progressive Bayshore Freeway may be the one to follow Garden Oasis home.
