Music Society wins….advised @ 10/1

Hip Hip Hooray as one of you commented with a very welcome winner after a barren month 🙂

Hopefully most of you got better than 8’s about Tim Easterby’s MUSIC SOCIETY before being tipped up by Hugh Taylor. With that and the non-runners was backed into 7/2 with a R4. Nonetheless will take that win on the nod after a sequence of being on the wrong end to get heading in the right direction again!

For those on the new 2021/22 £1k to £10k Annual Challenge, the bank is £1026.62 and current full stakes, unless advised, £12.83 EW

The 2021 Turf bank currently stands at -1.36 pts to 1pt EW stakes with over a 40% win/place rate.

The 2020/21 All Weather bank ended at +144 pts to 1pt EW stakes with over a 39% win/place rate.

Today’s Selections

Ponty 17.25

Will look to take Mr Wagyu on under Jason Hart attempting the 4 timer.

Tim Easterby’s MUSIC SOCIETY is always in our tracker and winless since 2019 since we were last on him before he won the Ayr Bronze Cup. Spent 2020 in the mid 80’s following that end of season win but now back around last winning marks more of note.

Has run well twice this season firing in two 80+ RPR’s, though can be excused that no show from a wide draw at Chester LTO. Rob Hornby keeps the ride and gets a decent draw to track the likely ‘pillar to post’ attempt from Mr Waygu in this one.

He’s done well for the yard with 6 wins/10 places in just 24 rides when called on. There’s a current best 10’s and FOUR slots to record on enough of the books this morning.

  1. Well done Gary. For all those who kept the faith this result was never in doubt although I thought the jockey cut things a bit fine after travelling by far the best turning in! Now that lady luck has turned I look forward to many more value winners in the next few weeks and months.
