Saturday Newsletter – 4th May 2019

A very busy Saturday with Newmarket’s Guineas Festival kicking off with the boys today – not for us but if you want a full Timeform guide just click HERE and it will take you to a 26 page preview.

Last night, Andrew Mullen gave us a text book hold up ride with Ben Haslam’s EPEIUS produced late coming from off the pace and quickening up really well to beat the hot favourite Gowanbuster. That was our second decent priced winner from our last 5 runners and has moved our ROI to nearly 40% 🙂

Today we’re concentrating on events north of Watford Gap, with a nice meet at Thirsk featuring the Hunt Cup.

Aside from that there’s a few trackers out at lumping prices that you may want to consider outside of members bets?

Thirsk sees Redrosezorro out for Eric Alston in the (15.40). Our local guy hasn’t hit the heights yet, though this one ran well in our tracker at Ripon LTO from the wrong side of the park.He has generally struggled in C5 and could be a bit too quick with it still drying today -hopefully we can pick him on future runs. Hitman is another in that one that we had a nice win with last term and has just had wind surgery, we’ll note his run today.

At Donny this evening, Michael Dods gets Jawwaal & Danielsflyer out in the (17.15) – the former is on second run since coming in from John Gosden an without being hampered would have gone closer than 3rd  on his opener at Donny’s Lincoln Meeting – primarily campaigned at 7f he drops back to 6f . Dods is a master with his sprinters but not for us at 5/2 though will be interesting to see how he fairs?

The latter however only just failed to get up coming off a wide draw in 18 and offers just about wipes yer face value 9/2 and with ‘season Dods’ on the horizon with his string tending to really get going in May/June and as we well know.

In the (18.20) Jedd’s Archaeology was noted in our tracker notes when last out the stalls was given a patient ride at the back he loomed up in the last furlong and was a closing 2nd. A bit early for us to be backing 3yo’s but in his own generation looks likely to improve and on around 7/2. Finally another from tracker notes on at a similar price is Richard Faheys’ Sempre Presto in the (20.20). Second in an apprentices LTO, Paul Hanagan should get a little more out of her here.

Our members selections are in the protected area below…….BOL with your betting today and we’ll be back in the morning around 10.00am with anything from Hamilton.

  1. Had a bet at punchestown in the week 00seven with skybet there book was open so staked 50 on at 10s then the money was put into my account with 300 extra as best odds. Then 30min later they took it out of my account and said it was void. Not very happy about the outcome so far they logged my complaint and I argued about it.
Now I’m going to the gaming commission to log a appeal.

  2. Am I missing something here, where have your usual full race cards gone??
