Spirit of May wins…..BOG @ 20/1

‘Boom Boom Shake the Room’…..Roger Teale trained SPIRIT OF MAY gave us a monster 20/1 winner under Jack Mitchell 🙂

The race panned out more or less as we had thought with ours running off the pace of Gabrielle Malune on Vee Man Ten until he asserted himself inside the final furlong catching Sandridge Lad on the line.

As all the turf fell foul to the weather, it was an encouraging sign as we look to flip over to the AW in entirety at the end of this month.

For those on the £1k to £10k challenge….it’s a near 35% win/place strike rate and our bank is now £1655.94 with current stakes £20.72

Today’s Selections

Chelmsford 19.00

James Tate’s 3yo Promote is a relatively short-priced favourite and looks worthy of taking on here as one who likes to come late?

Roger Teal has just had a great flat season from a small yard with 15 winners that produced a+48pts level-stake profit backing all his runners – assisted by star purchase Oxted 🙂

Tonight he has Jack Mitchell up top of SPIRIT OF MAY who looks well drawn to be able to run just off the pace off Vee Man Ten.

He is a Coach House colt purchased at the Ascot Breeze ups who ran 2nd on debut at Bath as a 2yo, and won his first on seasonal debut over C&D back in April off a mark of 64 recording an RPR of 71.

He arrives here now rated 78 on the back of a decent summer where he recorded a win at Chester, however, his RPR has also gone up accordingly and is still unexposed and still progressive.

Jack Mitchell is up top who had ridden well here to date on front running sorts with over a 60% place rate.

There’s a best 16/1 with Betfair and FOUR paying slots this morning.
