12.00 Irish Stallion Owners European Breeders Fund Maiden Hurdle 2m

Timeform Top Rated:
135 6. MOMUS Noel Meade Sean Flanagan
126 8. PIKE COUNTY Mrs Denise Foster Barry Geraghty
110+ 20. THE LONG MILE J. P. Dempsey L. P. Dempsey

Analyst’s Verdict:
Gigginstown may dominate here. Battleoverdoyen ran out a comfortable winner on his Punchestown bumper debut last month and is narrowly preferred to Momus who brings some pretty useful form to the table courtesy of his course second last time. Pike Country may prove best of the remainder.

12.30 Navan Novice Hurdle (Grade 2) 2½m

Timeform Top Rated:
150p 2. DEFI BLEU Gordon Elliott Davy Russell
149p 5. MONBEG WORLDWIDE Gordon Elliott J. W. Kennedy
148 1. CHOUNGAYA Joseph Patrick O’Brien Rachael Blackmore

Analyst’s Verdict:
Clearly a bunch to view positively, but Defi Bleu was ultimately well on top at the line when landing the odds over this C&D 3 weeks ago and he just about gets the vote. Monbeg Worldwide represents the same connections and is second choice, ahead of Magnium.

1.00 Tara Handicap Hurdle (Grade B) 2½m

Timeform Top Rated:
163 20. RUSSIAN BILL Noel Meade Sean Flanagan
162 5. PLINTH Joseph Patrick O’Brien M. P. Walsh
159 15. ELUSIVE THEATRE Stuart Crawford P. E. Corbett (3)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Gordon Elliott can win this for a third straight year with Dinaria des Obeaux making the most appeal of his quintet after a good third in a listed chase last time. She could be fairly weighted now contesting her first handicap back over hurdles. Walk To Freedom won well here 3 weeks ago and is feared back in trip. Calie du Mesnil is also interesting for Willie Mullins.

1.30 John Lynch Carpets Maiden Hurdle 2m7f

Timeform Top Rated:
130 4. DENWORK Joseph Patrick O’Brien Rachael Blackmore
126p 5. DIAMOND TURF Gordon Elliott J. W. Kennedy
120p 2. CAP YORK Noel Meade Davy Russell

Analyst’s Verdict:
Denwork produced easily his best effort when third in a well-run maiden here 3 weeks ago and looks capable of building on that up in trip. Diamond Turf is feared most, though strong market support for bumper winner Largy Glory would put a slightly different slant on things.

2.05 Free Racecourse Wifi At Navan Rated Novice Chase 2½m

Timeform Top Rated:
148 8. SIR CARNO Gordon Elliott Davy Russell
138+ 4. KILFENORA Edward P. Harty M. P. Walsh
136 9. STOWAWAY FOREVER J. P. Dempsey L. P. Dempsey

Analyst’s Verdict:
Sir Carno has made an encouraging start to his chasing career, already much better in this sphere than over hurdles, and sets a clear standard. Kilfenora is a threat on the pick of his form.

2.35 navanadventuresports.ie Handicap Chase 2½m

Timeform Top Rated:
140 3. ALLEE BLEUE Gordon Elliott Davy Russell
137 5. ANGUS MILAN Noel C. Kelly Mr N. McParlan (3)
132+ 2. UAINTSEENOTHINGYET Edward P. Harty M. P. Walsh

Analyst’s Verdict:
Allee Bleue is potentially on a good mark starting out for this yard and could be worth chancing to make a winning return. Bitsandpieces caught the eye back over fences at Clonmel and is feared most ahead of Uaintseenothingyet.

3.10 ‘Future Champions’ I.N.H. Flat (Listed) 2m

Timeform Top Rated:
119p 3. ENVOI ALLEN Gordon Elliott Mr J. J. Codd
115 1. BATCIO T. M. Walsh Mr A. McMahon
113p 7. WELL SET UP Mark Fahey Mr M. J. O’Hare

Analyst’s Verdict:
Envoi Allen leapt to prominence in the Champion Bumper betting when impressively maintaining his unbeaten record on bumper debut at Fairyhouse a fortnight ago and he will take plenty of stopping. Midnight Run and Well Set Up are likely to do battle for minor honours.
