Today’s Selections

We’re on a poor roll after that early season success however, that’s the way this game goes 🙁 –  Ideally we need to be backing at a 10-15% win strike rate to grow our bank as we have previously done and we’re operating slightly below that, hence the return to the status quo we’re currently at. Early days yet and some of our yards we target….Alston, Quinn, Tinkler, Carroll, Dods etc. seem to be slow coming to hand.

Ripon 16.20

Duran Fentiman has had a bit of a re-birth this season and gets back up on our previous winner GIVE IT SOME TEDDY. We had in our tracker last year as “possible Cambridgeshire?” – when we hoped he’d step up to a 95 horse.

However, whilst that’s not happened, he’s certainly competitive on trips up to this 9f with just a bit of ease.

He stepped up and won a C2 back end of last year and looks well matched against another of our trackers in Kripke who skipped a Hamilton engagement this week to come here. However Jane Elliot gets a rails draw on that one and that may just get her snagged, and we take ours proven at trip going and class to be thereabouts at a decent EW price.

We’ll re-invest a bit of the previous ‘Teddy’ winnings with a best 10/1 with 3 paying slots with bet365

Ripon 16.20 – Give It Some Teddy

Ripon 18.00

The last here is an apprentices where one we have backed previously, MUSHAARIF goes.

He disappointed LTO at Wetherby under David Allan when despite a decent rails draw he got stuck in the middle of the field when he is capable of running just off the pace.

However that was at 6f and with his best form at 5f, today he gets a nice outside draw to come up the favoured stands rail.

Zak Wheatley rode him with a more forcing ride at Ponty on penultimate ride and he’s back in the plate again.

He should get a decent toe off Red Stripes drawn 10 and close by, who is the most likely pace setter and let’s hope he gets a close up order.

There’s another best priced 10/1 with 3 paying slots with bet365
