A nice follow up winner to Monday’s 8/1 winner as DARK INTENTION won yesterday as a sole bet of the day. Hopefully most of you got the early 7’s when we published at around 8.00am……although there was a run on price after Hugh Taylor from ATR tipped it up again after 10.00am…..that’s the second day on the trot he’s tipped one of our up after we have gone to post with members and we’d like to think he’s not got a mole in the camp ?

Tanasoq took the C3 5f sprint at Chester at what seemed a reasonable lumping price of 13/8 considering his previous run in the ‘Dash’.

Like we said yesterday, there would be no members selection today with only Windsor – David Probert’s Happy Escape is drawn well in the (16.10) and one who can race up close to the pace. He won at Chepstow last month and followed that up as a very close 3rd of this mark at Kempton LTO. He should be able to confirm running with Finale and would rate as our best lumper .

On an underwhelming day we will be back with members selections tomorrow and just post Timeform from The Curragh again for those looking for a small punt.

For those on the £1k to £10k challenge, it’s been 3 months of incremental profits…….our bank has grown by over 96% with an ROI of over 38%….current stakes are now £23.64 EW

1.45 Barronstown Stud Irish European Breeders Fund (C & G) Maiden 7f

Timeform Top Rated:
No ratings for this race

Analyst’s Verdict:
The betting will be informative and Mount Everest is the obvious one to chance as things stand as the choice of Ryan Moore of the 3 superbly-bred Aidan O’Brien runners. Norway is another appealing one, while Zorabad should have his supporters for Dermot Weld.

2.20 Westgrove Hotel Handicap 7f

Timeform Top Rated:
105 7. ICE COLD IN ALEX K. J. Condon Shane Foley
104 12. BAY OF SKAILL Joseph G. Murphy N. G. McCullagh
104 9. KORBOUS Richard Brabazon Y. Nonaka (7)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Ice Cold In Alex has shaped well on his last 2 starts and looks ready to strike again having slipped to a mark 4 lb lower than when winning here last summer. Korbous has performed with credit in big fields on his last 2 outings and may prove next best ahead of Not A Bad Oul Day.

2.55 Grangecon Stud Stakes (Group 3) 6f

Timeform Top Rated:
112 6. SO PERFECT Aidan O’Brien Ryan Moore
111p 4. LETHAL PROMISE W. McCreery William James Lee
106p 1. CAVA Joseph Patrick O’Brien Donnacha O’Brien

Analyst’s Verdict:
Recent Queen Mary fourth So Perfect will be suited by the return to 6f and sets a good standard for the rest to aim at. Lethal Promise’s latest easy Naas win suggests she can make her mark at a higher level, while the selection’s stablemate Fleeting is open to plenty of improvement on the back of her Limerick debut win,

3.30 Finlay Volvo International Stakes (Group 3) 1¼m

Timeform Top Rated:
120 5. YUCATAN Aidan O’Brien Ryan Moore
119 3. STELLAR MASS J. S. Bolger K. J. Manning
119 6. CLEAR SKIES Aidan O’Brien Donnacha O’Brien

Analyst’s Verdict:
Clear Skies possibly didn’t quite get home over a longer trip at Royal Ascot last week and might be worth siding with back at what is probably her optimum distance. Stablemate Yucatan disappointed at the Royal meeting but will be a big threat if recapturing anything like his best in first-time blinkers, while Stellar Mass can also figure if primed after 10 months off.

4.05 Lyndsey & Eleanor Comer Trust (Premier Handicap) 1m

Timeform Top Rated:
112 11. BAND OF OUTLAWS Joseph Patrick O’Brien W. M. Lordan
111 10. ATLAS Denis Hogan Shane Foley
111 9. TURBINE Denis Hogan K. J. Leonard (3)

Analyst’s Verdict:
This looks wide open so it may pay to take a chance on 3-y-o Band of Outlaws. He’s slowly going the right way and left the impression he should have finished closer when midfield over C&D 36 days ago, in a race that has thrown up subsequent winners. Massif Central and Master Speaker are a couple of others to consider.

4.40 Juddmonte Pretty Polly Stakes (Group 1) 1¼m

Timeform Top Rated:
126p 5. FOREVER TOGETHER Aidan O’Brien Ryan Moore
119 2. URBAN FOX William Haggas Daniel Tudhope
118 4. BYE BYE BABY Aidan O’Brien Seamie Heffernan

Analyst’s Verdict:
Hard to see past the Oaks-winner Forever Together who could well be one of Ballydoyle’s top 3-y-os. Bye Bye Baby can chase her home again for second.

5.15 Comer Group International Curragh Cup (Group 2) 1¾m

Timeform Top Rated:
120p 3. BLOOMFIELD W. McCreery William James Lee
117 2. TWILIGHT PAYMENT J. S. Bolger K. J. Manning
116 6. GIUSEPPE GARIBALDI Aidan O’Brien Seamie Heffernan

Analyst’s Verdict:
Giuseppe Garibaldi has made good strides forward in line with tackling longer trips of late, worth crediting with his best performance to date when third in a Group 2 at Royal Ascot last week, attempting to come from further back than the other principals. He could be worth chancing back up in trip, with Bloomfield who is also on the up and Flag Of Honour a couple of others fancied to feature.

5.50 Troytown Grey Abbey Equine Hospital Handicap 1¼m

Timeform Top Rated:
111 6. ESPOIR D’SOLEIL D. K. Weld Declan McDonogh
110 4. SONG OF NAMIBIA G. M. Lyons C. T. Keane
109 10. NIMITZ Charles O’Brien W. M. Lordan

Analyst’s Verdict:
Espoir d’Soleil shaped very well when runner-up on her return over C&D 5 weeks ago, likely to have got up in a few more strides having been set plenty to do from 3f out. Her mark looks feasible on that evidence and she can go one place better. Agent Zigzag also appeals as being on a handy mark and is feared most, ahead of Hamley.
