A cracking win with WEELLAN yesterday as David Nolan kept David O’Meara’s charge wide on the outside and got up late to win going away…….and BOOOOOOM, that’s stuffed us through the £4k marker for the first time this season 🙂 ………meetings are running out between now and the November Handicap at Donny on the 10th of next month, but a nice couple of winners would be most welcome in shoving that further north!

On a quiet day with no flat over here, there’s just Timeform below for Naas for anyone nibbling……We’ll be back with a look at Ponty on Monday morning around 8.00am.

Have a good day off 🙂

1.35 Tifrums Irish European Breeders Fund (C & G) Maiden 6f

Timeform Top Rated
85p 3. DARK ENDEAVOUR Gordon Elliott Declan McDonogh
84p 7. FERRETTI Aidan O’Brien Seamie Heffernan
81p 12. SAN ANDREAS Aidan O’Brien Donnacha O’Brien

Analyst’s Verdict:
San Andreas isn’t a typical Ballydoyle star on breeding but showed plenty up to a point on his debut here 3 weeks ago and should be able to improve enough to take this maiden. Dark Endeavour and newcomer Defilade also come into the reckoning.

2.05 Rathasker Stud Irish European Breeders Fund Fillies Maiden 6f

Timeform Top Rated
92p 3. CHAMROUSSE W. McCreery William James Lee
89p 5. FROSTY BEACH D. K. Weld Declan McDonogh
87 13. MISS JABEAM Aidan Anthony Howard R. C. Colgan

Analyst’s Verdict:
Chamrousse ran another promising race when second over 7f here last time and can go one better. The Ballydoyle trio are all interesting, I Remember You perhaps the most at this stage.

2.35 Matchbook Irish European Breeders Fund Birdcatcher Premier Nursery 6f

Timeform Top Rated
107p 14. ARCHAEOLOGY John Patrick Murtagh K. J. Leonard (3)
106p 8. CHICAGO MAY G. M. Lyons C. T. Keane
105 10. DANDYS OCEAN Mrs J. Harrington Shane Foley

Analyst’s Verdict:
Recon Mission ran a stormer behind All The Kings Men at listed level a week ago and is probably still getting better, so this tough colt could outclass his rivals off top weight in this extremely competitive nursery. Archaelogy had a bit up his sleeve at Navan last time, so he can continue his upward curve along with fellow last-time-out winner Chestnut Express.

3.10 Foran Equine Irish European Breeders Fund Auction 7f

Timeform Top Rated
102p 9. ARMY RECRUIT G. M. Lyons C. T. Keane
101 12. CEDARS OF LEBANON P. J. Prendergast R. P. Whelan
100 15. TOSEN SHAUNA Takashi Kodama K. J. Manning

Analyst’s Verdict:
This is wide open, but Army Recruit lacks the penalty that the bulk of his main rivals have to carry and he’s certainly marked himself down as well capable of winning a race of this nature, so he gains the tentative vote to get off the mark at the expense of his stablemate Kestrel Prince and last-time-out winner Gustavus Weston.

3.45 Rathasker Clodvil Irish European Breeders Fund Garnet Stakes (Listed) 1m

Timeform Top Rated
117 1. MAKING LIGHT D. K. Weld Declan McDonogh
116+ 4. COULD IT BE LOVE Aidan O’Brien M. C. Hussey
114 6. ESPERE G. M. Lyons C. T. Keane

Analyst’s Verdict:
Making Light was off her game at Leopardstown last month but is a class act at this level if anywhere near her best and is taken to bounce back and notch a third win of the campaign. Moteo showed useful form on just her second start when third in this grade at Cork 11 days ago and likely has more to offer, while Espere will also be competitive if recapturing her best form.

4.15 Thank You Paddy & Cathy Timmons Apprentice Handicap 1¼m

Timeform Top Rated
83 3. ENZANI Gordon Elliott M. P. O’Connor (2)
82 9. MAUNGANUI Jarlath P. Fahey Conor Heavey (2)
81 7. SEREFELI Peter Fahey Rory J. King (4)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Gordon Elliott’s Enzani was caught out by the drop back to 1m on his latest Flat start and can resume winning ways back up in trip. Castle Guest arrives on the back of good placed efforts at Leopardstown and the Curragh and can figure again, while Vastonea is another who has a few solid efforts to his name of late.

4.50 Matchbook Time To Move Over Handicap 1¼m

Timeform Top Rated
109 9. MERITED Mrs Denise Foster L. F. Roche
108 10. FUTURE PROOF Noel Meade Ben Martin Coen (7)
107 1. MASSIF CENTRAL M. Halford R. P. Whelan

Analyst’s Verdict:
Tudor City is banging on the door, finding only one too good having tanked through the race at the Curragh last time. This looks a more straightforward task so, all being well, he should be able to get off the mark for the season here, with Merited and Espoir D’Soleil likely to be on hand if he doesn’t quite come up to expectations.

5.20 Rathasker Bungle Inthejungle European Breeders Fund Bluebell Stakes (Listed) 1½m

Timeform Top Rated
115 6. CURLY Aidan O’Brien Seamie Heffernan
111 1. PANSTARR J. S. Bolger K. J. Manning
110 3. KALAXANA M. Halford R. P. Whelan

Analyst’s Verdict:
Curly was well below par on AW last time but a return to the level she achieved when fourth in the Group 2 Blandford prior to that could be good enough to see her collect this listed prize. Panstarr was behind the selection in the Blandford but has a very solid record at this level, while Kalaxana was back on the up when third in a Group 3 last time and also merits plenty of respect.
