Safety razors, cut throat razors shaving brushes all things shaving from Executive Shaving

Sunday – 25th November 2018

It looked like Haydock’s new fences caught a few out yesterday, Nico De Boinville even claimed they were dangerous following Might Bite’s flop in the Betfair.  It certainly caught our Little Bruce out who got no further than the 2nd after being heavily backed in to a 2/1f – not the best start to the NH, we seem to be finding more winners in the intro notes with both Snapdragon Fire and Truckers Highway both notching. It’s a long old winter slog and hopefully we’ll get back to some sort of form to get us back cash positive.

We’ve nothing of note today – we had watched Peterborough a couple of times as a novice but his opening mark 110 didn’t seem to go down well LTO. He goes at Exeter in the 15.50. They ran him held up LTO under Adam Wedge but today reverts back to claimer Conor Ring who has ridden him off the front in both his novice events. Hardly a recommendation and we’ll see how he goes today – there’s no selections and we’ll just pop up Timeform below for the Navan meet

12.00 navanracecourse.ie Maiden Hurdle 2½m

Timeform Top Rated:
133p 2. DEFI BLEU Gordon Elliott Davy Russell
125+ 7. MOMUS Noel Meade Sean Flanagan
116 1. CURIOUS TIMES Stuart Crawford J. J. Slevin

Analyst’s Verdict:
Defi Bleu found only a smart prospect too good for him when runner-up on his return at Down Royal earlier this month and looks sure to improve further. He can open his account here. Momus and Denwork are others to consider.

12.30 Connollys Red Mills Irish European Breeders Fund Mares Auction Maiden Hurdle 2m

Timeform Top Rated:
122p 1. PUT THE KETTLE ON Henry de Bromhead D. J. Mullins
115p 2. WHATUCALLHER Edward P. Harty A. E. Lynch
105 4. DRAGON HOUDINI Patrick Downey Donagh Meyler

Analyst’s Verdict:
Put The Kettle On probably followed home a good one at Wexford and she’s taken to open her account from Whatucallher. Gypsy Island landed a gamble in taking style on her debut in a Ballinrobe bumper in August and she is a useful prospect for hurdles.

1.00 ‘Monksfield’ Novice Hurdle (Grade 3) 2½m

Timeform Top Rated:
152p 4. FIRST APPROACH Noel Meade Sean Flanagan
150p 1. DINONS Gordon Elliott Davy Russell
149 5. MAGNIUM Mrs J. Harrington Robbie Power

Analyst’s Verdict:
First Approach, a useful bumper performer, looked a fine hurdling prospect when scoring at Down Royal at the start of the month. This demands more but he’s open to improvement can take the rise in class in his stride. Dinons, Magnium and Sometime Soon head up the dangers, in that order.

1.30 Davis Civil Engineering Handicap Hurdle 2m

Timeform Top Rated:
133p 13. WARNAQ Matthew J. Smith A. E. Lynch
132+ 10. SHARE THE HONOUR A. J. Martin R. C. Colgan
131 17. EURO SO BRAVE W. J. Austin Rachael Blackmore

Analyst’s Verdict:
Warnaq scaled new heights on the Flat when successful at Naas 3 weeks ago and she’s back hurdling on what appears to be a very lenient mark. Western Honour will doubless be winning races sooner rather than later for Gordon Elliott and is clear-second choice.

2.00 Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Beginners Chase 2m1f

Timeform Top Rated:
142 4. DUCA DE THAIX Gordon Elliott Davy Russell
119+ 2. CHATEAU CONTI Joseph Patrick O’Brien J. J. Slevin
107p 3. CLASH OF D TITANS Gavin Patrick Cromwell G. N. Fox

Analyst’s Verdict:
A smart novice hurdler, Paloma Blue ran a cracker when fourth in last season’s Supreme at the Cheltenham Festival and, with his subsequent Punchestown effort best overlooked, he can get off to the perfect start over fences. Jetz and Duca De Thaix can give Henry de Bromhead’s charge most to think about.

2.30 Ladbrokes Troytown Handicap Chase (Grade B) 3m

Timeform Top Rated:
168§ 3. OUT SAM Gordon Elliott Davy Russell
167+ 7. TOUT EST PERMIS Noel Meade Sean Flanagan
166 24. SWINGBRIDGE Gordon Elliott M. A. Enright

Analyst’s Verdict:
Potentially 13 runners for Gordon Elliott as he attempts to win this for a fifth straight year and Out Sam could be the one on the back of his victory in the Cork National. He’s been unreliable but his trainer seems to have found the key to him and he can land another valuable prize. Munster National-winner Spider Web likely has more to offer and is a big player along with Tout Est Permis.

3.00 Proudstown Handicap Hurdle (Grade B) 2¾m120y

Timeform Top Rated:
159 2. DE NAME ESCAPES ME Noel Meade M. P. Walsh
158 12. JIMMY BREEKIE Stuart Crawford P. E. Corbett (3)
157 11. HARETH Charles Byrnes A. E. Lynch

Analyst’s Verdict:
De Name Escapes Me picked up where he left off last season when landing a 13-runner handicap at Naas 2 weeks ago, drawing clear. The return to further very much rates a plus and he can do better still. Pass The Ball also arrives in fine fettle and is feared, along with Salty Boy and High Sparrow.

3.30 Coolmore N.H. Sires Irish European Breeders Fund Mares I.N.H. Flat (Listed) 2m

Timeform Top Rated:
118 4. YUKON LIL W. P. Mullins Mr R. Deegan
117 1. QUEENS BOULEVARD W. P. Mullins Mr W. J. Gleeson
117 10. BARRINGTON COURT Mrs J. Harrington Mr M. J. O’Hare

Analyst’s Verdict:
An up-to-scratch listed bumper. Willie Mullins holds a strong hand, with Yukon Lil fancied to record a third career win, though stablemate Queens Boulevard couldn’t show what she could do behind that filly at Gowran and will push her close if all is well with her. Barrington Court and Ballydunblaze are interesting, too.
