1.35 Surehaul Race Day Mares Maiden Hurdle 2m3f86y

Timeform Top Rated:
136 4. ALIGHTING Joseph Patrick O’Brien E. T. Daly (7)
124p 3. EDENE D’ARC Gordon Elliott J. W. Kennedy
123p 17. KILBARRY LILLY Cornelius O’Keeffe Rachael Blackmore

Analyst’s Verdict:
Kilbarry Lilly and Edene d’Arc are closely matched and Cornelius O’Keeffe’s mare is taken to come out on top with the prospect of improvement to come over this longer trip. Fellow point-winner Gipsy Lee Rose made an encouraging start in a Fairyhouse bumper and surely has more to offer now hurdling. Stablemate Alighting has plenty to prove.

2.10 Derrygrath Maiden Hurdle 2m84y

Timeform Top Rated:
119 5. RAKHINE STATE Gordon Elliott Davy Russell
118 17. JEREMYS DREAM Gordon Elliott J. W. Kennedy
89 14. DUTY GIRL Daniel John Howard M. J. Bolger

Analyst’s Verdict:
Gordon Elliott looks to hold the key to this maiden hurdle with Jeremys Dream and Rakhine State. The former ran too badly to be true at Gowran 3 weeks ago and is worth another chance.

2.40 Surehaul Mercedes-Benz Novice Hurdle (Grade 3) 3m

Timeform Top Rated:
155p 7. MOSKOVITE Denis Hogan D. G. Hogan
151 9. WESTERN VICTORY Colin Bowe M. P. Walsh
148 5. SWORDSMAN Gordon Elliott J. W. Kennedy

Analyst’s Verdict:
Moskovite improved another chunk when making a winning handicap debut at Limerick and looks a big player on that form up in grade. Western Victory bumped into a good one when runner-up at this level at Fairyhouse and is next best ahead of debut-winners Eurobot and Capuccimix.

3.15 Minorstown Handicap Hurdle 2m84y

Timeform Top Rated:
117 8. PERCY B SHELLEY Noel Meade Sean Flanagan
116 12. MARINO MARVEL Dermot Anthony McLoughlin C. D. Maxwell
115p 14. MACHO MOVER Eoin Doyle Donagh Meyler

Analyst’s Verdict:
Bee A Beneficiary cast aside a low-key spell chasing when off the mark at Kilbeggan in July, and she holds sound follow-up claims if returning from an absence in that sort of form. She may have most to fear from handicap debutants Macho Mover and Glen of Aherlow.

3.50 Kilmolash (Q.R.) Handicap Hurdle 2m3f86y

Timeform Top Rated:
101 6. BOTHAR DUBH Declan Queally Mr M. J. Sweeney (7)
100 10. BELLE WEST W. J. Burke Mr D. O’Connor
99 13. GOULANE JESSIE Paul Patrick Moloney Mr J. Hurley (7)

Analyst’s Verdict:
The lightly-raced winning pointer Bothar Dubh bumped into something of a handicap blot at Navan last time, the fact that he went down by only a neck underlining how well handicapped he is. He can make amends here up against more exposed sorts, with in-form pair All About Alfie and Time Is Time appealing as the principal dangers.

4.25 Microdogid Beginners Chase 2½m49y

Timeform Top Rated:
124 9. SNUGSBOROUGH HALL Liam P. Cusack Denis O’Regan
120 12. KILBARRY CALLING Cornelius O’Keeffe R. P. Treacy (3)
119p 8. SMITHSCORNER Michael G. Kennedy J. W. Kennedy

Analyst’s Verdict:
Snugsborough Hall has suggested a race of this nature is within reach in a handful of starts this term and he is fancied to put it all together and come out on top. Roxboro Road remains open to improvement and is feared, along with Smithscorner who had yet to be asked for his effort when brought down 4 out at Punchestown last month.

4.55 Sporting Press Handicap Chase 2½m49y

Timeform Top Rated:
114+ 4. PACK YOUR BAGS Robert Tyner Philip Enright
112x 1. BRIDIES BOY John J. Walsh A. M. McCurtin (3)
111? 5. OISIN JAMES Miss D. M. O’Shea Rachael Blackmore

Analyst’s Verdict:
Pack Your Bags proved better than ever in a change of headgear to finally get off the mark at Down Royal on return last month and looks capable of defying a 10 lb rise if turning up in similar form. Ballybrowney Walk was a good third behind the selection that day and should be in the mix again, while Smoking Dixie is one to note starting out for Gordon Elliott.
