Four meetings to consider and it’s pretty average fodder…….previous winner, Sheepscar Lad goes in the 15.50 at Nottingham – up against a very impressive LTO winner in Musika. The ground may be a little quick for him stepping up to 6f and the favourite looks the one to beat at lumping prices………despite Nigel Tinkler in cracking form and a 40/1 winner yesterday!

One of last years nice priced winners, La Menage Enchante goes in a low grade at Nottingham (16.20) – he’s due to be dropped a further 3lb following this so we’ll note this run as an indicator with it likely to be a bit quick.

We’ve nothing of note today so will be keeping the powder dry and be back tomorrow.

6.00 Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Maiden 6f
Timeform Rating of previous winners: 108 107 106 96 96 (Avg 103)

Analyst’s Verdict:
National Guard left his debut form behind when fourth at the Curragh last time and can improve again and strike at the third time of asking. There was plenty to like about Parkers Hill’s debut effort at Naas and he can build on that and provide the main threat ahead of the selection’s stablemate North Wind.

Timeform Top Rated:
89p 3. NATIONAL GUARD Aidan O’Brien Donnacha O’Brien
88p 5. PARKERS HILL John Patrick Murtagh N. G. McCullagh
88 4. NORTH WIND Aidan O’Brien Seamie Heffernan

6.30 Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Fillies Maiden 7f30y
Timeform Rating of previous winners: 100 89 83 81 99 (Avg 90)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Scriobh Nua is clearly held in pretty high regard given she contested the Irish 1000 Guineas on just her second start, and though she predictably struggled that day, she’s surely capable of winning a maiden. Quinns Red Rose and Tough Spirit are sure-fire improvers and feared most.

Timeform Top Rated:
100p 13. SCRIOBH NUA J. S. Bolger K. J. Manning
88 10. PROUD AND ELATED Joseph Patrick O’Brien Donnacha O’Brien
87p 11. QUINNS RED ROSE M. D. O’Callaghan L. F. Roche

7.05 Ballycorus Stakes (Group 3) 7f30y
Timeform Rating of previous winners: 117 118 115 119 117 (Avg 117)

Analyst’s Verdict:
The Del Mar maiden won by St Patrick’s Day in September worked out very well, and assuming he’s as effective on turf, he could be a top recruit for Aidan O’Brien (holds several Group 1 entries). Were the selection fail to live up to expectations, True Valour looks the obvious one to take advantage.

Timeform Top Rated:
117 6. TRUE VALOUR John Patrick Murtagh C. D. Hayes
115+ 1. ARDHOOMEY G. M. Lyons C. T. Keane
113 5. SMASH WILLIAMS J. S. Bolger K. J. Manning

7.35 ‘Paddy & Saoirse Casey’ Handicap 1m

Analyst’s Verdict:
Rapture’s Delight looks to have been let in lightly off a mark of 80 considering the strength of his debut form so, having got off the mark in comfortable fashion at Gowran last time, he boasts excellent claims of following up. Editorial is another one with plenty of potential and Dream of Words has to be respected bidding for her third success of the campaign.

Timeform Top Rated:
98p 5. RAPTURE’S DELIGHT Joseph Patrick O’Brien Donnacha O’Brien
94 3. DREAM OF WORDS J. S. Bolger K. J. Manning
93 4. SPIORAD SAOIRSE A. Slattery Ben Martin Coen (7

8.05 Fitzers Catering Rated 1¼m Top

Analyst’s Verdict:
Waterboy looked to have a bit up his sleeve when winning a competitive affair at this course last time and, with the return to this trip unlikely to be an issue, he should go well in the followup bid. Claregate Street arrives in excellent form and has to be respected along with the lightly-raced Casla.

Timeform Top Rated:
100 4. CLAREGATE STREET M. Halford C. P. Hoban
99 3. NEAR KETTERING John Patrick Murtagh Y. Nonaka (7)
98+ 1. THE MOORE FACTOR J. J. Lambe C. T. Keane

8.35 Leopardstown Ladies Golf Club Handicap 1m7f

Analyst’s Verdict:
Penalised recent winners Remmy D and Hurricane Sky could be the pair to focus on, with the former preferred given he’s a 3-y-o who has very much gone the right way as his stamina has been brought into play. Trump Card ran well at Gowran last time and also makes the shortlist along with Siempre Amigos.

Timeform Top Rated:
82 14. UNIVERSAL FOCUS Ross O’Sullivan D. E. Sheehy (7)
81+ 17. TURASOIR John W. Nicholson K. J. Leonard (5)
81 1. HURRICANE SKY Charles O’Brien T. P. Madden (5)

9.05 Leopardstown Members (Q.R.) Maiden 1m7f
Timeform Rating of previous winners: – – 86 87 65 (Avg 79)

Analyst’s Verdict:
Nessun Dorma has developed into a pretty useful hurdler for Willie Mullins since finishing well held on his Flat debut for another yard and can make a winning return to the level. Great Trango ran a blinder when third in a Curragh handicap last time and will be on the premises with a repeat, while Ask Susan arrives on the back of a win over fences and was a good second when last seen on Flat.

Timeform Top Rated:
67 12. ASK SUSAN John W. Nicholson Mr N. Moore (7)
64 4. GREAT TRANGO David Harry Kelly Mr B. O’Neill
55 5. GUIDO RENI Karl Thornton Mr J. C. Barry (5)

WOWSER!!!!!

The guys from Cleeve have really hit the ground running in May with OVER 67PTS PROFIT as we take a step forward and one back !!!!

Like we said previous…….they target higher end c2+ than ourselves and have got off to a cracking start to the season. Have a look around their site linked below with a past results visible.

Our selections shouldn’t clash due to the nature of races we tend to get involved with and should be a nice complimentary and personal service from Nick & the guys to run alongside our own this summer.
