Ladies Day at Royal Ascot for the those following that meeting and yesterday showed the importance of being drawn on the side where the pace is. In yesterday’s notes we highlighted the chances of Kynren and he ran his usual cracker winning the’far side’ race. However, all the initial pace was drawn high with Jason Hart towing them along on Mark Johnston’s Cardharp that set it up for those drawn high.
There’s a similar race for 3yo’s with The Britannia Stakes (17.00) and whilst nothing of interest, for those looking to consider it could be a similar story with Sameen likely to take them along (21) and Ralph Beckett’s as well as De Sousa aboard Andrew Balding’s Hero Hero who likes to race prominent. That bodes well for the likely favourite, of no value, in David Menuisier’s Migration? Good luck anyone sticking a pin in that one 🙂
Ripon hosts the other sole turf meeting of the day.
